needs to constantly be in the 'press' position--he is terrible lined up off of the ball--fundamentally a bad tackler with the lone positives being a knack for causing turnovers. He will consistently give up catches--Bly & Foxy are almost a wash with Bly having more playmaking ability and Foxy being a little more consistent.

Bly's playmaking ability consists of him guessing right 1 in 800 times if its that close. He can't tackle, he can't cover, and for a guy with his speed he sure gets burnt a lot. I only saw the first packers drive and they only threw to baileys 1 time and that was the td. I didn't watch the rest of the game, it was 11 pm. Just my take.

At this point I hope they release Bly and resign Foxy after this year.

And just one year ago the consensus was that Denver had the best CB tandem in the NFL!

Broncos don't give CBS any help. I'm starting to think our Dline couldn't sack a bag of potatoes. The safety play is absolutely horrid. We don't have one safety on this team worthy of being a Bronco. When was the last time you saw a safety bail out Bly with a great play? not very often.

Dre Bly is our second corner. He's a pretty good one. He isn't very physical but he has good ball skills and is a play maker. I would love to see you haters evaluate our starting corners pre-Bailey just to remember what most of the rest of the league's secondary looks like.

Bly has marginal coverage skills, great ball skills doesn't like to get dirty if he doesn't have to.
That puts him somewhere in the middle. He's an average player who hurts you in some ways but can turn a game around, too. |

I think Bly is pretty good at bump and run and has pretty good hands. If you ask me about any other part of his game (tackling, run support, any coverage besides bump and run,...) I would say that he is pretty good at bump and run and has pretty good hands.

I knew when you guys signed him he sucked. The only reason he made the probowl in Detroit was because he was thrown at all the time. He has made some plays for you guys the same way. But now, just like St. Louis, just like Detroit, you're seeing 1st hand why the guy doesn't catch on anywhere for long.
He's not very good. You're pass defense was as good or better before he arrived. You guys are blowing good money on this guy. Personally, I would start the next guy behind him. At least this way, there is potential for growth at the position. JMO |
