With the injury to Kevin Curtis, DeSean Jackson will probably start for PHI this year--he is 1st in the NFL this preseason with 16 catches and 2nd with 189 yards. He is far from being simply a return guy.

Oh ok one made the starting lineup by earning it. The other made it by default. Eddie 1 Jackson 0.

Even if it is preseason and this type of conversation is especially pointless, I don't find it of any value anyway. Honestly what does it matter? We drafted ROYAL, not JACKSON. Even if Royal turns out to be a bust and Jackson a superstar, the only thing that will happen is a bunch of yahoo's saying "I told you so", which is pointless. So Royal is our man regardless, so I say let's just hope that the man we picked turns out ok........

who cares? So some wanted him over Royal and now they are discussing it. Seems Jackson is having a great preseason and is outplaying our rookie. Big deal. What are you afraid of here in this thread?

Not afraid of anything. But when i see a stupid thread im going to call it like it is. If this jerkoff wants to revisit this thread when both players have actually played some regular season games and made something of themselves then let him knock himself out. Until then its a pointless and ****ing stupid thread.

But it is preseason! He or others cant speed up the clock so be thankful it is football talk and not the garden thread (which I very much like and growing some killer veggies!).

No offense, but why should we keep an eye on this? There's no point. Royal is Bronco, Jackson is an Eagle. Move on. Unless you're just sitting back waiting for an opportunity to bash a Shanahan draft pick. Seems pointless to me.

I don't think Jackson is showing up Royal. They both are excelling. Both teams should be happy.

1. shanny stated after drafting royal he thought he was the best receiver in the draft.

2. desean jackson is good as a dual threat

3. royal is beastly strong.

4. desean jackson is not.

5. royal is has strong character.

6. desean does not.

i could care less how many looks or catches jackson gets... regular season or preseason.

reality is we have far more threats on offense and options for jay to go to, so no... eddie probably won't get as many balls as jackson. but i think eddie can handle that, jackson on the other hand

Why? He's a poser. He's evil light, just not evil enough. a Crabcake does sound good right about now though.

He needs to work on his blocking a little. A couple of times he needed to seal the edge by blocking the DE and whiffed on a few blocks. But he is getting better.
