Funny you aren't bumping your incessant rants about Kyle Orton and how he is the 3rd best QB on this team...

I could have a 24 hour bump party with the absolute junk that you post.

This thread should have been allowed to die - like all threads.

But one of the resident idiots just had to revive it -- the undead.

Yes, I saw L. Jackson in tonight's game score two first half TDs against a pretty crappy Redskin defense.

But I would not trade Jackson for Royal -- no way.

So what's your point?

I'm confident Bailey and Dawkins can and will take Jackson outa the game.

Jackson is a leetle bit better than Royal right now.

Royal is more steady and tougher, Jackson is more dynamic. Those two will have parallel careers in the long run. Royal is much tougher moving the chains, Jackson has better quickness and is not a chain-mover but has better flat out speed and acceleration.

It's gonna come down to how valuable the two are in playoff games. The chain-mover vs. the dynamic one or two big plays a game guy. It's gonna be interesting to track their careers.

Interesting. I agree--DeSean had a nice NFC CG last year--he is much more explosive and a viable deep threat--royal --aside from the CLE game--hasn't really provided that--and DeSean is a better returner than Royal--that is NOT debatable even after last MONDAY nights performance in SD for Eddie....both are good players--DeSean is closer to GREAT than Eddie.........and no off field incidents so far in Philly.......

The return game is still unclear, since our problems were STs in general, not him. As to his play at WR, there is no doubt I would prefer Royal, especially after last yr. His numbers this yr have more to do with McD's new system, and Royal growing into it (and Orton getting more leeway to get the ball to him). Despite all the options in Denver, Royal will be putting up decent numbers in the second half of the season. In this system Royal is a far better option that DeSean. And unlike DeSean, Royal could also play in Philadelphia's offense. He has the speed and route running to excel.

Jackson is pulling ahead of Royal right now and looks a hell of a lot more explosive. Either way both in the 2nd round was a steal though.

I'm not disagreeing or anything...but you base this on what exactly this early in both careers?

Still very happy with Eddie, but I'd like to see them using his speed more, like the Eagles do with Jackson. Seems like every play to Eddie this year is 9 yards, with him diving trying to scoop it off the ground. He's like the fastest guy on the team, stop trying to go deep to Marshall and send Eddie down there!

Not even close. I thought last year it was but Jackson is 10 times the WR that prom king Royal is.

Shanny went for character instead of talent/results. I hated the Eddie pick when it happened, loved it during the season last year, and now I'm still okay with it and hope it's just a sophomore slump and/or mismatch with the scheme and/or QB. Eddie's got talent but it's clearly not being used well like Jackson's is in Philly. I don't think anyone thought DeSean could be this good and many questioned whether or not he could play in the league at his size. Kid is a serious playmaker and game changer.

That might be the worst statement ever here. Whey were there the Gardener, Rice, Clarett, Carter, DWILL, and other questionable character guys signed? You couldn't of been more wrong.

The real issue is Orton -- not Royal.

But the stupid jocks on this board will never "get it." At all times they need some one to ridicule -- a human punching bag -- and today it just happens to be Royal. Tomorrow it will be Moreno or Sheffler...
