This thread is inspired by Robert Downey's recent tirade against Dark Knight, the Batman movie (“I'm like, 'I get it. This is so high-brow and so f---ing smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie,'” the actor ranted before adding, “You know what? F--- DC comics. That's all I have to say and that's where I'm really coming from.”) It made me wonder, here on the Omane, who goes for Marvel and who goes for DC?
Me, I'm definitely a Marvel guy. I mean, come on, Iron Man, Spider Man, the Hulk, Thor, the Silver Surfer... DC sucks. ![]() |

Look, truth is Batman is my favorite "super hero" cause he's got not real "super powers" and in the comics he was an incredible detective along with being able to beat up 40 people in 5 seconds. But, other than Batman, DC has no good comic super heroes. Superman is a pansy and boring.
Marvel has the Xmen and thats about all they need to really be great. Makes me want to break out my comic book stash that I collected for three years during the mid-90s. Yes, I was one of those kids. |

I'm with Irish Stout.....at least from a movie perspective (I've never been into comic books). DC owns the top spot with Batman, but Marvel owns the next five or six slots easy.

DC. I grew up reading Green Lantern and Super Man. The only thing Marvel has going for it are the X-men and Spiderman and Hulk.
DC has: Superman Batman Wonder Woman the Flash Green Lantern and big-breasted Power Girl ![]() and all the awesome villains that went with like the Lex Luthor, the Joker, Catwoman, etc. |

I will give Kaylore the villains. Marvel's super heroes always had numerous enemies and none were an arch-enemy per se. While D.C. definitely made one absolute arch-enemy for each character.

Well, I grew up reading Marvels, never read DC, and the Ironman movie was f'ing awesome, but since watching the Dark Knight, and since I've started reading the Watchmen, I'm really opening up to DC. But for old times' sake I'm voting Marvel.
