The Dave has ruined my whiskey moments, for now anyway.

Naaah, he was helping actually.
I'm doing the Atkins diet again now, and I was comfortable drinking whiskley because it's zero cabs (all spirits are 0 carbs actually). But then The Dave had to stick his (admittedly well informed) nose into my business to point out that, even though it's zero carbs, alcohol breaks down some blah-blah-enzyme-blah-blah such that the Atkins diet doesn't work. Now I'm sober and TheDave is laughing at me. The rat bastard ![]() |

Johnnie Walker Blue is orgasmic.
I usually drink Glenlivet 12 yr. Macallan 15 is solid and Balvenie is excellent but I rarely drink it. I need to pick up a bottle. 18 yr Dewars isn't bad either. |

I enjoy my whiskey and scotch straight on the rocks.
So my question is, is it acceptable to drink brandy and cognac on the rocks, too? Or are you just ruining it by not slightly warming it with your palm in a proper snifter? I don't see why I can't enjoy them the same as I do whiskey, unless there's some sort of unwritten rule I should abide by. |

So, I was at the liquor store the other day and up the shelf with some expensive scotch was a bottle of whiskey from Colorado. I was a bit tempted, but a 40 dollar price tag scared me off. Anyone have any reviews or knowledge of this stuff. Sorry, forgot the name.

![]() Just picked up a bottle of this on a lark tonight. Priced at 23 bucks, it didnt look to bad. Its very smooth, with a slight taste of vanilla. Not an instant favorite but quite good nonetheless. |

Oh, I wasn't looking for a review or anything. It's just that you said you couldn't remember the name, and I'd seen that stuff before, so I posted the pic in case that was the one you were thinking of.
