... and he's all pumped up about going to training camp next week to cover the Broncos for the Mane.
So of course I start the day in a jealous rage ... But rather than put my fist through a wall, I tell the other half we're taking this Friday off, and riding the ferry across the Sound to Bremerton for lunch and shopping. ![]() ![]() Qwest and Safeco ... red arrow points to the Amazon.com building. ![]() Space Needle and the Holland (slightly more advanced than we're on) Cruiseship ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't think they make too many ships at Bremerton shipyards anymore ... ![]() ![]() So there, Oskie. |

Nice ... perfect timing
![]() If I had only known that ahead of time, I would have kept my eyes open. We did see a couple girls in Navy uniforms at the outlet store, but not quite like the Bremerton girls he described. |

All CFL jokes aside, that is a baddass part of the world. Vancouver and Victoria are still near and dear to my heart....mostly cause they let me almost legally drink in Highschool....guess it was nice to be 6'2" and hangin' with the Victoria Cougars....we never got carded and looked 19 ;-)

It SO doesn't rain here that much ...
![]() Most overhyped stereotype ever. Well actually, Denver being freezing cold and snowbound in the winter is also a huge misconception. ![]() |

] Which Seattle do you live in But seriously... the problem with the rain here in the Northwest is that when it does rain, it tends to rain continuously. For days. Weeks, even. The last couple winters here in Portland, we've had months where we've had rain literally every day for the whole month. The temperature rarely goes below freezing and we only get snow briefly (for a day or two at most) once a year, but the grey dreary skies can be tough to deal with. Regards, m. |

You so funny...Nice pics Buff. My Aunt lives in Eugene. They like to float a lot and take trips up and down the coast. One of my cousins lives in San Fran so they'd make stops there. I know they'd stop in Washington as well, Townsend I think. Don't know if they ever went further down toward Seattle I'd ask her but she had a stroke last March and it doesn't seem like she's going to ever be back to "normal". Nice to see you moved from one nice area to another! I've been to Oregon plenty and it's always been a favorite place of mine. I can remember growing up going to Emerald's games with my Grandmother... it DID rain there a lot! The North West is a place I'd consider living in the future, but I'm not sure I'll ever leave Colorado! Maybe if I can talk my wife into Italy or Greece... |

I spent a month back in the summer of 02 or 03 (whichever year the Hawks opened their new stadium) in Bellingham, Wash. I drove down to Seattle a couple of times. That is whole area is tremendous. I havent been there for the 30 days of rain in a row, but in the summer when its dry, its hard to imagine a nicer place around.

I love that part of the country. Used to live in Moses Lake (not that part) and visited Seattle and Tacoma a lot. Great places and love the people, but as far as beautiful prefer Oregon, although up by Seattle and Vancouver it is absolutely beautiful.

Wow, Buff. Must've picked the nicest day of the year to go out. Looks beautiful.
It's not how much it rains in that area that gets you, it's that it sprinkles constantly and never dries up. I only recall a half dozen thunderstorms the entire time I was up there (3 years or so) and I get that in a single summer easily now. Never hard rains, just constant sprinkles and mists... drove me nuts. |

I'm telling you guys, it does NOT rain up here that much. I'm sure hellfyre is correct that normally it rains a lot and can rain a month at a time. It just hasn't done that since we moved here in May 2004.
It rained Saturday (yesterday) for about an hour. First time it's rained during the day for several weeks, maybe a month or more. |

Nice pics, BB. I have been there and done that! It is always fun riding the ferry across the Sound.
