Thanks for the report. Did Ryan Harris look good? They are saying that Mallard and Moss took snaps on the first team today.

Harris did look strong, as did the entire O-Line. Mallard was getting some reps, and I need to focus on Moss because I didn't even notice him. Sure, I should have, but I hope that isn't more of an indictment on him.....

Thanks TSG!

If you would, please see what kind of coverage is their base tomorrow. I am interested to see how they are going to play Base this year.

Also, see if you can get some position to see their DL presnap and see how they come off the ball. I am interested if they are truly playing an Over/under one gap front.

Thanks again TSG!

Nice Read, thanks.

I'm worried about the OLine with Nalen going down already. Nobody has posted anything really positive about Lichtensteiger and he may be one of the first guys called upon if Nalen gets injured. I would imagine Hamilton would slide over but he isn't the picture of health either.

One guy that I can highly endorse going into next season would be Alex Mack, OC from Cal. Kid would be a perfect fit in our zone blocking scheme and he brings the strength and nastiness of an Olin Kruetz. We need to replace one stallwart in our line with another.

Wiegmann will get first crack if Nalen continues to hurt. Like you said, Hamilton could also slide over.

I really start looking at line play closely during pre-season games. When everyone else is turning off the TV in the 3rd and 4th quarters I am just getting started!

Very well done. I like the format. Edit - I just saw your post above. I'm like you, I always watch entire pre-season games to watch the young guns and backups.

Interesting point on Marshall's blocking. I recall a number of nice blocks, last year in particular. I'm sure he will only get better and that should be a scary thought to unsuspecting DB's and linebackers.

It appears to me the team has really loaded up on young talent. I really like the way the team is shaping up. I'm very excited to see Barrett in game action and have high hopes for him. Same with Torain but I have to admit I'm a big fan of Selvin Young. He plays so well in the passing game and did a fantastic job pass blocking last season. The latter point says a lot about him as the blitz pickup could be one of the hardest aspects of the pro game.

I'll definitely echo the sentiment on Josh Barrett; he was working with the other S on the other field just after practice and he looked COMPLETELY different than the likes of Hamza or McCree. He is built like a LB but flew around the field. If he learns the game and has even average instincts, then he could really make a dent.

I agree, Barrett is THICK. It wouldn't surprise me if he saw significant playing time at the end of the season.

This is the best news possible, considering that Safety is/was a HUGE area of concern at the end of last season, as well as with the losing of Lynch.
Barrett will be just fine, and IMHO simply needed to just get used to the scheme and learn his responsibilites.
Once Barrett is comfortable, watch out!
He will take over a starting spot very quickly.
I have been on the Barrett and Torain wagon since they were drafted.
Both will make a difference this year.

This Draft class is looking great. A lot of possible contributors in Clady, Royal, Jack MF Williams, Hillis, Barrett and Torain. I love it!

Royal and Alridge seem to add more speed than I remember ever having at one time.

I heard Hall giving Torain mad props on the fan (great sign). Clady the real deal. Hillis (when ready) is going to be the man. Barrett and JMFW looking great.

I can not remember the last we had this many rookies be this exciting, 06 was great but not as wide spread.

Weird, no one is saying anything about how bad Shanahan is at drafting.

If foxy is really shedding his foxworthless ball and chain that would be huge. No teams were even interested in him as RFA so if he blossoms its great timing for Broncos.

The fact they haven't offered him an extension tells me Broncos also aren't sure about him.

This will be a big yr for the young dbacks Foxy and Abdullah to try and prove themselves.
