Default Marshawn Lynch won't face discipline for hit-and-run.

A sign that the commish is feeling generous?

We can dream, right?

Seriously, hitting a woman and taking off seems pretty bad. I wonder how he justifies not punishing him.

Goodell says he will not discipline Bills' Lynch

PITTSFORD, N.Y. -- NFL commissioner Roger Goodell won't discipline Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch for a hit-and-run accident that left a woman injured.

Lynch lost his license last month after he pleaded guilty to a traffic violation. He was driving his 2008 Porsche Cayenne SUV about 3:30 a.m. on May 31 when he hit a 27-year-old Ontario woman and kept going.

He could have faced criminal charges but reached a plea deal with prosecutors. The woman suffered a bruised hip and a cut to her thigh that required seven stitches.

Speaking at Bills training camp, Goodell said since Lynch pleaded guilty to traffic violation, there was no violation of the league's personal conduct policy.

How was there no violation of the personal conduct policy? It's bad enough that he almost killed someone with his vehicle but the worst part is that he fled the scene. Seems like poor personal conduct to me.

If Marshall gets 8 games people are going to go nuts.

pretty smart call on lynch's part, fleein the scene, better to get a traffic ticket, than to get busted with a dui, or being stoned, i mean, why would you flee the scene unless you had something to hide

Lynch = 1st incident.
Marshall = Nearing half a dozen incidents.

Marshawn was convicted and Marshall has yet to be convicted of anything. Yes, I know the commish wants a "higher standard" and multiple arrests are a problem. But if Lynch was arrested and found guilty of a hit and run and he got nothing, then Marshall getting 8 games would be a crock.

We aren't talking about the law. We are talking about incidents here. Pac Man was never convicted either.

Pac Man's crew paralyzed a man in a strip club and faced two felony counts. Felonies and misdemeanor traffic violations are not even on the same planet, even DUI's.

People keep pointing to this, but how do we KNOW this is Lynch's first incident? Up until today's thread, 99% of the public had no idea about a handful of the incidents in Marshall's past.

Mean nothing to Brandon Marshall. Look at Marshall's record and it shows he is a dumas. 4 games dumbas, wait and see.

The fact that he isn't getting suspended is a good indication.

From what I understand the person he hit was screwing around in the street, dancing or something. And he claims to not even know he hit them.

We should get our best people on it (completeColorodo.com) and find out what the extent of Lynch's rap sheet really is...

No it isn't....otherwise Belichick would've been suspended.

When I think of the news, the first names that come to mind are the New York Times; the Washington Post; maybe the Christian Science Monitor - and CompleteColorado.

The woman needed seven stitches. He didn't exactly mow her down.

Actually he plead guilty to felony charge, and had pleas for a couple of incidents reduced to misdemeanors before the Vegas incident

Im not arguing that its stupid.

Im arguing that incidents, regardless of circumstance, are what raises Goodell's ire.

And the more incidents one has, the more his ire is raised.

And Beantown, do you know of any other Lynch incidents? I know of none. Not saying he doesnt have them, just saying I dont know about them, the public dont know about them, so Goodell probably doesnt know about them.
