If you sincerely apologized and it wasn't accepted, what more can you do?

I'd say you did what you could, turn the page.

Let me guess:

1. Did you use more than your daily allocation of fossil fuels? If so, you are going to hell.
2. Did you vote for a Republican? If so, hell you are in. (say this with a Yoda voice.)
3. Did you run over the very rare & protected spotted rabbit?
4. Did you run a legal, but immoral Mexican trucker off the road?

those are not bad things ....... they are mere hobbies
But I think I will try and apologize one more time ........... Conventional wisdom is to beat the snot out of the person until they accept

Oh I was close, sort of. Well not much you can do with that. Even if he didn't accept it, thats all you can do. If it was fairly soon after cant be really surprised he didn't.

On a more serious note, I am sorry that you are going through this. It is my opinion that when you can restitution for a wrong committed, you should. So some things we can’t easily “fix” but at least one can try. It is the trying to make it right without expectation of anything in return that is important. Sometimes if someone is holding a grudge against me, for something stupid I have done, the best thing that I can do is something really kind for them (and sometimes I would try to do it so that they would not know that I did it.)

My sister could not forgive my dad for things that he did (real and imagined) for years, then he got brain cancer, so it seems that people wait too late to find a way through this kind of thing -- if they don’t accept your apology, it may take time -- just as it might be hard for you to let it go, if the situation was reversed? If so, what would he HE HAVE TO DO to make it up to you?

Good luck to you....

Damn dude. That is a pretty awful thing to do to somebody. I hope the argument was important.

Probably want to apologize again after some time. Then let it go either way.

just move on, if you were sincerely apologetic and he didnt accept there is relly no point in trying again. and unless there is a friendship involved its not worth staying up for

i say go to bed and dont look back, its his problem once he turns away the apology, at least the way i look at it

he's not gonna accept your apology right now...it's too soon...

wait awhile and then try it...people don't really wanna hear apologies after getting their butts kicked though...

it's actually prolly better that you don't apologize and just be leave him be...
