As much as I hate that the Sox have lost 2 vs Cubs I am really digging Interleague play.
Anyone else? |

I friggin' HATE it...why? Because, historically, The Pirates get blown away by the AL whenever they face them since this all started. Before this came around, they were a game away from .500 and looked to have turned the corner, then they lost 2 of 3 to the O's and got slapped around hard by the Pale Hose. They took 2 of 3 from Toronto only to face the Yanks & Rays the rest of the week....so yeah, for purely selfish reasons, I think it sucks.

I wish the Sox banked some of those 37 runs from the Pirate series for the Cub series.

I think interleague is too drawn out. So you want to see Yankees-Mets, Cubs-White Sox, etc. I get it.
So, lets define a "rival series", six games each year home-and-home. The problem is that there are 16 teams in the NL and 14 in the AL so Seattle would rotate between Colorado, San Diego and Arizona with the other two teams getting an extra six NL games that season. The rest would be: Rays-Marlins Yankees-Mets Red Sox-Braves Orioles-Phillies Blue Jays-Nationals (these two could swap with O's-Phillies periodically) Indians-Reds Tigers-Pirates White Sox-Cubs Twins-Brewers Royals-Cardinals Rangers-Astros Angels-Dodgers A's-Giants This way, interleague doesn't become this huge month-long mess that it is now and you get the best interleague matchups. |

The Cards took two of three from BOS and came close to taking the third. So I am a fan.

If the NL and AL rules were the same like the NFC and AFC who cares? But in the AL the pitcher doesn't have to hit...the game is very different.

Oof you're a Royals fan too? Sucks to be you. When was the last time they won the WS? Hint: The Cardinals won in 2006. The Cardinals are also much better this year and will be better in the future. Sounds kind of like the Broncos and the Chiefs now that I think about it. Please don't try to talk KC vs. StL smack, you will lose.

Geez! What's with all the Cubs hate? I thoroughly enjoyed the sweep of the South Siders and their loud mouth skipper.

interleague sucks because of the AL...get rid of the DH and then interleague might be meaningful.

Boy, what's with all of the anti-cubs, anti Red Sox sentiment here? Where is the good old-fashioned Yankee smack talk?
