Default Defensive Head Set?

Who on the Broncos is going to have the defensive head set transmitter. For most teams it will likely be the MLB, but I am not sure I want Niko or Webster with that responsibility.

Any thoughts?

I hope it isn't Niko, in his first year on the team, can he really handle that responsibility? What about DJ?

Even if Webster was the best player on that defense, there's no way they could let him wear it.....by the time he gets his helmet back on after it flies of after every play, the QB would be back under center and it would be shut off from upstairs.....so it would be useless.

The plan is DJ.

Bailey will probably have a back-up one.

I think they'll give it to the Mike, which means likely it will be Niko.

It can not be Niko. He will not be on the field, more than likely, on passing downs. I say DJ is your best bet.

You have to assume they'll give it to the guy who will be on the field the longest. DJ makes the most sense here.

I agree...it's going to be on a three down player...I'd bet DJ or Boss, perhaps Lynch

Lynch wasn't a three down player at the end of last year, so I doubt it is him.

But he's also on an island, playing CB. DJ's right there, in the middle of the action.

DJ will get it, Champ gets the backup.

It can't be champ. It has to be somone who can make the necessary defensive calls to the team (aka a LB).

DJ will get it.

Quotes from DJ Williams during the mini camps said he's looking forward to not having to "think so much" on the field, and just go out and play. Tells me he has no plans of wearing the device.

Niko.

If only Al was still around then it would be no question. But i think its gotta be D.J. He knows the most positions and is gonna be out there every play. Its not gonna make him job any harder it just makes it so the coaches can talk to him between plays and he was the one calling the plays last year so he has experience.
