Interesting perspective on Obama:

I hope the link goes through. I'm my research, trying to find out for myself, just who Barrack is, I found the above site.

That is a hatchet-piece blog, the insistence on including his middle name "Hussein" every time they mentioned him was just the first clue.

Second, they refer to Obama as a Muslim apostate - and they state it as a conclusory fact. But that's not a fact. It might be a reasonable ALLEGATION, but it's simply not a fact, as no less a source than Obama himself states he has never been a Muslim. So this blog accusing apostacy as fact, without disclaiming that Obama claims to have never been a Muslim, makes it a wrothless and irresponsible source.

I was under the impression that Obama was either raised as a Muslim or attended a Muslim School.

Listen, I know the internet has alot of crap out there, most of it is pointed right at McCain, however, as I've said in the past, I know alot more about McCain (who he is, etc.) than I do about Obama.

This is probably a bit closer to the truth than that one...a face to face interview from 2004. Will probably excite some and scare others.

http://falsani.blogspot.com/2008/04/...interview.html

Quote:
GG:
So you got yourself born again?

OBAMA:
Yeah, although I don’t, I retain from my childhood and my experiences growing up a suspicion of dogma. And I’m not somebody who is always comfortable with language that implies I’ve got a monopoly on the truth, or that my faith is automatically transferable to others.

I’m a big believer in tolerance. I think that religion at it’s best comes with a big dose of doubt. I’m suspicious of too much certainty in the pursuit of understanding just because I think people are limited in their understanding.

Quote:
GG:
Who’s Jesus to you?

(He laughs nervously)

OBAMA:
Right.
Jesus is an historical figure for me, and he’s also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher.

And he’s also a wonderful teacher. I think it’s important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history.
Quote:
GG:
Do you believe in sin?

OBAMA:
Yes.

GG:
What is sin?

OBAMA:
Being out of alignment with my values.

So he's not Muslim and he's doesn't believe Jesus was the messiah. Yet attended a particular church for 20 years. But he does believe in God.

I have to agree with one of the other posters. Ijust do not know who this guy is.

Nice find, very interesting. I like Obama's admiration of Ghandi and Lincoln, however, I'm not so fond of the Wright and Pflegel (sp?). connection. Nice read, thanks.

I served in the Army with a Lebanese American who was also a Muslim. I trusted him with my life, and he trusted me with his. Whether or not Obama still considers himself a Muslim is besides the point. Are Americans such narrow skulled troglodytes that they don't realize that there a whole bunch of very patriotic Muslims living in America? Do they really believe in this comic book version of Islam? I shake my head at how my fellow countrymen seem to be getting stupider and stupider.

Now that you've gotten out. It's a very big deal. I think you understand why.

Actually Afghanistan is the only one, and only arguably so, because since Karzai took over, we are actually allied with the elected governemnt there. Your statement sounded to me a bit like a "we hate Muslims" sentiment.

The truth is (as McCain accused Obama of doing), we should be taking a "law enforcement approach" to terrorism. None of the terrorist acts committed in the West were under a sovereign flag ... no terrorism has been under a sovereign flag, except perhaps since Hamas was elected as the Palestinian govenment.

Did you even listen to the news report? Keep believing the FUD on Obama.

In fact let me clarify Obama for you:

Anyone here who does not think Islamic extremist fundamentalists are not a direct threat to America, Israel and all other free nations and peoples is very much delusional.

We have the luxury of discussing the issue here, now, but if we lived in Iran, or any other area controlled by Islamic extremists, our opinions would not be allowed.

That is the difference between our values, and their values. Here, we can all agree to disagree. In those regimes, you are beheaded if you rock the boat. Big difference.

The same could be said of China, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Columbia.
