The old saying goes....without a miracle, a team is only as good as their backup QB.
That being said.....when i looked at the QBs around the league.....starter and backup.....That position is pretty weak IMO. So just curious who you guys think has the best Qb combinations in the league. |

Manning/Sorgi only because both have been in the system for a long time.

you dont want a really good back up QB , if you got 2 QB's that are good , you got a new problem ....QB controversy .... Starbough / Morton / Woodley / Strock /

Honestly not a lot of good options up there, the QB depth in the league sucks right now.

Honestly, a rising star (like Cutler) combined with a journeyman veteran (like Ramsey) is about the best you can hope for these days. Cutler looks like he has all the tools to be a star, and Ramsey is good enough to be on the roster, been around long enough to understand the game, and is lacking just enough talent to ward off other teams trying to pilfer him... that and we dont have to pay him starter $$$. |

I was tempted by AZ. However, Warner is glass jaw Joe these days. One good smack and its Leinart and Leinart.
Dallas isnt too bad with Romo and Johnson, I guess. But again, Brad is aged. So is SD with Volek backing up motor mouth. But I went with the homer vote. |

I went Houston. Sage came in a performed last season and Schaub is decent.

The Cleveland boys. Quinn is pretty damn good even though he is unproven and we saw what Anderson did last year.

Sorgi is the only one who sees significant playing time after Manning builds the lead. In that respect he does a good job, playing conservatively understanding his role and not losing games.
I don't think much of Rivers but Volek is pretty good and maybe the best backup option to win games if the starter goes down IMO. |

I said Boller/Flacco, just on a hunch that Flacco is going to be a diamond in the rough, become the starter, and having Kyle Boller as a backup isn'f half bad I guess, probably the best of that bunch. So if Flacco becomes an adequate starter, Boller is a good option at backup

IMO the best backup is Kurt Warner, assuming Leinart is going to be the starter this year, which he should be. Anyway, he's definitely proven and still has some game left. But just like any backup QB, you don't want him to have to play half the season. He can definitely come off the bench and do the job though.
My vote for best combo however would be Brees/Brunell. |

Its like a math proof or some stupid chinese proverb... considering that a quality starting QB is hard to find.

I went with Houston because I think Shaub and Rosenfelds are both starter quality guys...my second choice was New Orleans, except Brunell is about out of gas...I don't get the Cleveland votes at all...Andersen had one good season, but I don't think the jury is really in on him, and Quinn is a total ?...Ramsey is ok, but I don't think the Broncos are at the top of this poll

..but are we really sure he could execute that game plan? Personally, Ramsey hasn't shown me much at all...or at least enough to where I'm totally comfortable with him in the #2 spot. Seriously, I can't remember any of his snaps at all.
