I'm a huge fan of the original punisher. That movie kicked balls. Why didn't they use the same guy?

Wondering how many punisher movies they're going to make before a good one pops up or they decide to nix trying to cover this character.

And, Punisher didn't shoot Steve Rogers - he actually took on the Captain America identity once Rogers was assassinated.

Ant Man would be a stupid movie. I'm betting it never gets off the ground.

Punisher: War Zone should be bumped to an early 2009 release, then Iron Man 2 in mid-2010 (summer blockbuster), Thor in late 2010, Captain America in spring 2011, and The Avengers in late summer 2011, filmed in sequence with Captain America, so as to be the lead in that springboards into the Avengers.

Thor should also be a fantasy piece that gives and origin story and ends with his banishment. Capt. America should be set in WWII and end with how he gets frozen and winds up in the present. That is the best way to set the stage.

Red skull was responsible for the whole thing, I believe.

I like what their doing with the Avengers movie, releasing the solo films to lead into it. Iron man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America are all having Cameos tying them all together. Just saw the Hulk, had a Tony Stark cameo.

Ray Stevenson is a total bad ass and a good actor. I have no doubts he'll be a more than exceptional Punisher.

You guys need to watch just one episode of Rome to get a bead on Stevenson's ability.

You should see more movies. I'm not really sure how being stupid and not getting off the ground have anything to do with each other.

I watch plenty of movies, but Marvel isn't going to finance Ant Man with a big blockbuster budget or a powerful creative team, so unless some incredibly capable people step up and are willing to do it for peanuts I don't see how it gets a green light.

I think its an attempt to fill out their calendar for 2010, while believing that Iron Man 2 can legitimately be out in 2009, when it really can't. When Iron Man 2 slides to 2010 Ant Man will go on indefinite hold so as not to flood the market prior to IM2, Thor, Capt. America, and The Avengers.

Iron Man 2 and Thor come out in the summer of 2010.
They are making a Captain America movie too that will be titled "The First Avenger: Captain America followed by the Avengers which comes out 2 months later

Spiderman is said not to be in the Avengers. Antman and Wasp will probably be in the movie, but will most likely not have their own movies

I think they're going for a more comedic approach with Ant Man. Budget shouldn't factor too much.

There's also been rumors that DC Comics will make a Green Lantern movie. Marvel looks to dominate summer 2010 and 2011 while DC Comics is only releasing The Watchmen.

Oh well Marvel did a great job this summer, but unfortunately Batman will be better than Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk combined

Whoa, I wouldn't go that far. I thought Iron man was the best super-hero movie to date. Also Hulk was a lot better than I thought it would be, surprisingly good.

$ony owns the rights to Spiderman, not Marvel. $ony has already stated they will not allow any hints, references or allusions to Spiderman or any of his IP in any Marvel Movie.

Culver University (really Columbia) in The Incredible Hulk was SUPPOSED to be Empire State University but $ony would not allow them to because thats where Peter Parker went to school.

$ony $ucks.

I absolutely loved Iron Man. I did hear that those cheap bastards don't want to give Favreau a deserved raise to do the second film. I will be pissed if they don't bring him back.
