Bronco fans should obsess over the DT and DE position like they do the RB position. RB position is not the reason why we have struggled. Look at the superbowl champs from last year; a primary reason for success - dline. It doesn't take a genius to see the model for success in the NFL; offensive and defensive lines. Is Tom Brady a sensational athlete; no - Cutler has more ability in his pinky, but Brady has hours to sit back there and find a receiver. On the flip side, look at their dline - ridiculous. Same with the Colts, watch a game where Manning gets pressured; it becomes quite apparent. My whole point being - it seems like people are so preoccupied with the RB position when we are going to be the same porous defense allowing 4-5 yards a pop up the middle. We could have Walter Payton at RB and it still won't matter. On the flip side, we could have an average RB with a good dline and be much more successful.

Over the course of the past 5 years, no position has given us more trouble than the DT spot.
It's not even close. |

You are right, but behind the QB position...RB is probably the second most scrutinized position in Denver. Ever since TD couldn't play for the Broncos anymore, we have been searching for the next TD.

The seeds have been planted (Moss, Doom, Crowder, Thomas and Robertson). Time to be patient and wait for the flowers to bloom. I'm tired of the constant retooling (and calls for more retooling).

Clinton Portis was an amazing back for us. We've had some quality since TD left.

Look at how many draft picks, FA signings, and trades have been used on the lines over the last 4 years. Shanny has been trying to build dominate lines.

CP & TD have been the only quality backs that we've had. everyone else has been servicable.
