That the Randi forum gets this kind of commentary from gaff-o just shows that they're right, and, (as usual), he's wrong. |

I was just wondering why it is that, as you seem to be certain that 9-11 was in inside jobbity-job, you aren't debating it with the serious debunkers on JREF? |

Dirka dirkas from Pakistan flew planes into our buildings. They were easy targets and security on planes was lax at the time. Bin Laden was believed to be behind it and also took credit for it.
We did not blow up our own buildings and kill our own people. It would have required a huge amount of people sworn to permanent silence. In this camera filled, investigative, camera filled society complete with whisteblowers and wikileaks, how could one honestly come to the conclusion that we attacked ourselves on 9-11? Again, common sense people. Again, the most trusted, verified and proven source on the subject...(No, not paranoid prison planet or infowars) Popular mechanics.... http://www.popularmechanics.com/tech...y/news/1227842 |

Your attack wasn't on the veterans - it was on me.
That is, instead of commenting on the story I linked, you just went straight to your usual attempt to impugn my credibility, etc. (if I really believed "x, y, and z," then I would be debating with so-and-so.) |

That's what makes you the poster boy for intellectual dishonesty. In any event, yours is the same tediously circular reasoning, i.e., "those well prepared to debate the issue" = those who share The Lone Bolt's commitment to the official BushCo account as a foregone conclusion. |

You are implying that they have no argument. How do you know this? How about putting that belief to the test? What are you afraid of? |

No worry. I've read these boards before, your reputation precedes you. Don't tell me for a second that you weren't in orgasmic joy when your boy Obama was elected. Like I said and like you ignored before and tried to change the subject, do you know Alex Jones, the foremost 911 truther, thinks the current administration is just as 'evil' as the Bush administration?

OK, I'll make a deal with you. If I comment on the story you linked will you agree to debate your troofer views on JREF? Seeing as how you are equating the two it seems only fair.

Either that, or you're just a typical right-winger, i.e., your preferred "debate" tactic is the straw man argument. |

Do you know that it's possible to agree with some of Jones' (or anyone else's) ideas and disagree with others? Or, like most regressives, are you too "black or white" in your thinking to wrap your head around that concept? |

Why are you so insecure in your beliefs that you restrict your 9-11 postings to this forum and not a forum which is specifically dedicated to debating the issue of 9-11? People here are debating general politics. The JREF forum can provide a better measure of your views.

Lone Nut,
I gave you the link. Jones went on a world wide tour last fall -- presenting the evidence and challenging skeptics to review it -- and to respond to his science. So far, your RANDI skeptics have not done so. Here -- for the umpteenth time - -is the link. http://communitycurrency.org/911TV/ In the video Jones explains in detail how his team checked out the claim about the paint. They were able to obtain and test a sample of red primer paint from the WTC. An artist had created a sculpture from some WTC columns. The artist scraped off a large sample of red paint from the steel and sent it to Jones. BTW the artist has since become a truther. The chemistry of the paint was different from that of the chips found in the dust. Period. End of story. So far -- the Jones lecture is not up at Youtube. You will have to invest $20 for the DVD. Your attack of Bentham is laughable. Like it or not, this was a peer reviewed paper. You and others attack the on line journal simply because you don't like the results. It's the same old shyte we've seen on issue after issue -- over the long history of science. People who don't like the results -- snipe about the character or credentials of the researcher. Or the journal in question. Instead of dealing with the science itself. We saw a similar pattern after the cold fusion discovery in 1989. The two scientists who announced it, Pons and Fleishman, were ridiculed and hounded out of this country. They had to go to Europe just to continue their research. Dr Steven Jones was the third scientist involved in the cold fusion issue. He developed a different line of research. You can find a good discussion in FIRE FROM ICE by Eugene Mallove. Mallove wrote the book in 1999. By then it was clear to him that cold fusion was a real phenomenon -- though still unexplained -- and that Pons and Flieshman had been the subject of a witch hunt by the hot fusion establishment. Why? It was a turf war. Cold fusion threatened a major breakthrough that would put hot fusion out of business. The hot fusion scientists reacted to defend their grant money, their labs, their jobs, their prestige and power. It was science gone amok. We are seeing a repeat over this nanothermite issue. Same old sad story. Only the future hangs in the balance. MHG Last edited by mhgaffney; 10-30-2010 at 05:38 PM.. |
