What the heck! I'll take a stab at it.
This reflects how I think Shanahan will draft if we don't trade, not necessarily my first choice: 1. Jerod Mayo - LB - Tennessee 2. Mario Manningham - WR - Michigan 4. Tony Hills - T - Texas 4. Durant Brooks - P -Georgia Tech 5. Carlton Powell - DT - Virginia Tech 5. Corey Lynch - S - Appalacian State 6. Jamey Richard - C - Buffalo 7. Orlando Hawkins - CB - Toledo 7. Bandon Coutou - K - Georgia Lots of smaller speed guys. Some more athletes than football players. That's a very Shanahan Draft...outside of Mayo. |

I think Shanahan will be trading all over the place, but just for fun:
1. Chris Williams, LT, Vandy 2. Cliff Avril, LB, Purdue 4. Will Franklin, WR, MO 4. Demario Pressley, DT, NC St. 5. Craig Steltz, S, LSU 5. Mike Hart, RB, MI 6. Dwight Lowery, CB, SJ St. 7. Ben Moffitt, LB, SFla. 7. Derek Lokey, DT, UT Last edited by Rohirrim; 04-25-2008 at 04:03 PM.. |

Saw this in a mock today. Interesting. 11 (42) Denver - Earl Bennett WR, Vanderbilt Denver is really high on this kid. So high in fact, they flew his former QB Cutler out to his pro day to toss him the ball. Gil Brandt on Sirius NFL Radio said that the last time he saw an organization do that was the Dallas Cowboys back in the Troy Aikman days. I’m expecting the Bronco’s to reunite the Vanderbilt tandem. DEN trades both 4th rounder and CB D.FOXWORTH to ATL for the 68th pick 1. Rashard Mendenhall RB Illinois 2. Sam Baker OT USC 3.(68) Earl Bennett WR VANDERBILT 4. Jeremy Zuttah OT RUTGERS 5. John Greco T TOLEDO 5. Frank Okam NT/DT TEXAS 6. David Roach S, TCU 7. Tommy Blake DE, TCU 7. Pedro Sosa OL Rutgers All kickers and punters will be UDFA's brought in after the draft. MAybe a FB as well. Last edited by socalorado; 04-25-2008 at 02:09 PM.. |

And the more people that put Owen Schmitt on their wish list, the more certain it is that we'll pass over him again and again and again, before he's finally drafted by the Pats, Ravens or Steelers and then makes all pro year after year.

OK Because it last couple of years I was to get kids that did become broncos. Based upon the way I think Denver thinks.
1. Antoine Cason - CB - Arizona. I know folks will b**** but just have strange feeling that Shanahan first selection is CB. Cason is great player that isn't getting the love he should. Plus both Foxworth and Paymah could be gone next year 2. Pat Simms- DT - Auburn - JR with little experience, but great potential and has the ability to get into the rotation and help Thomas and Robinson 4. Marcus Monk - WR -Arkansas Big WR that has the size and the look of WCO WR. Need to work on route running and blocking down the field but real smart and great worker 4. Shawn McMackin, OL, Hofstra http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...ers/index.html "McMackin, one of the biggest sleepers in April's draft, is building buzz in scouting circles. He completed 40 reps on the bench during his first pro-day then ran the 40 in 4.81 seconds and added some very swift shuttle times at a second workout this week. McMackin, who weighs 295 pounds, has played every position on the offensive line in college and is now getting consideration in the late rounds." Fits Denver line 5. Spenser Larsen, LB, Arizona - (GREAT PICK OLD GUY) - Think Trotter and be happy 5. Marcus Griffin- S - Texas - For special team to start with the ability to bulk up and compete next season. 6. Breno Giacomini-OT - Louisville - Former TE that moved to LT. Good feet and size (6-7 and 310) that knows how to get to the 2nd level. Needs add strength in weight room and work on his technique. Think the Myers plan. 7. Michael Cox - FB - George Tech Good blocker plays with mean streak. People need to remember FB get little value in today NFL. 7. Mike Dragosavich P - ND State- Great leg but raw. Wouldn't be surprised if saw PS before he saw a game on Sunday. Last edited by elsid13; 04-25-2008 at 04:45 PM.. |
