This thread is facetious? Like, will there actually be draft coverage, or will they just be jabbering... Really I figure they're both equally crappy since they SHOULD have more film past the mid-second round, but run out of info. to talk about on 90% of the players...
But I'll still watch. ![]() |

If I remember, coverage starts at 9:00 - 6hours before the draft on the 26th.

Nice. I was looking at the NFL draft site and saw their Ad for coverage and thought I was going to be arse out in the cold.
Thanks! |

Here's a fun game. Count how many times the Houston Texans are on the clock and how often ESPN cuts to commercial and tells you who they chose only after the fact instead of telling you live. They're regular as clockwork about this.

But yeah, NFL Network is the one i'll be watching, but of course like everyone else with both, i'll flip a little to keep it interesting. Gotta love E!SPN licking NE's sack through the whole draft. |

I'll be in Steubenville all day. Damnit. Luckily I've got a buddy to text me every single pick up to #42. After that, I don't care.

Well..
First round is no longer 15 minutes. I think they made that change last year. So within two hours we should be done or on the clock for the 12 pick. I just don't see a draft day trade for our 1st, I think if it's going to happen it will be before hand. |

I think espnnews is starting in the morning with an hour analysis to each division(15 minutes per team).

I was actually rewatching part of the 2007 draft the other night on the NFL Network.
How SICK is that?! My GF was blown away. |

It's going to be a busy day with Nugz/Lakers Game 3. I'd recommend watching NFL Network's coverage by far. Mayock is much more knowledgeable than Kiper and McShay, and Schefter is much more connected into the league than Mortenson.

I like Mayock over Kiper, but I'll probably watch the coverage on espn because my nfl network isn't in hi-def.

My coworker told me today that the first day was only going to be round 1 and 2 (not 1, 2, and 3 like usual). Said ESPN Radio was talking about it. That made no sense to me. Why would they shorten the pick timer for the first round (and the others I think?), but also stop the first day of the draft after round 2?

Watching draft coverage is a lot like watching a stock market channel like CNBC; there are some interesting moments and breaking trades, but for the most part, the whole shabang could be bottled and sold as a sure-fire sleep aid.
...and yet, still, I sit & watch...I watch CNBC too. I sleep a lot. |
