I gave up on being bitter about people leaving for money. If players were loyal to their teams and didn't get the money they wanted FA would be worthless. We've stolen plenty of players from other teams as well. Elam will be back...just like Sharpe came back...they always do.

I've been a closet Falcons fan since 1990 when Jerry Glanville took over the team. They were fun to watch back then. Glanville teams take on his personality. I personally love the guy as the coach of ANOTHER team, for that reason. I'd never want him as a Broncos coach.

Then when Dan Reeves was fired, I was happy to see him get on with the Falcons, because it was a reason to root them on from behind the curtain. Then we faced them in the Superbowl and they were dead to me. I hated that dirty bird crap and was glad to see us trounce them.

But now... I think I can have ok feelings towards that team again.

That's a long ways to go to say I'm ok with seeing Elam in a Falcons uniform. I personally don't think an aging Elam will be all that hard to replace. Now a young Elam - that's a different story. You can't replace a guy like that - you can only pay him and hope he doesn't get old. Unfortunatley for us, the second part of that calculus didn't work out so well.

bah, don't really care how the rest of his career goes. He did what he had to do for Jason not that it should be a surprise for anyone.

That's how I used to feel about the Patriots. I'm good friends with the Carroll family and used to be sidelines for games when they'd make it Wisconsin. Drafting Andy Katzenmoyer (my favorite college player outside of PSU) made it even deeper.

Then Belicek showed up... Katzenmoyer was rushed back from his injury like Bill does to all seriously hurt players and instead, walked away from the game. They've been an evil team ever since.

It made me sad. I know nothing different could have been done, but I have a lot of fond memories of Elam.

Hogan will now eat your brain from inside out. Tell him Hogan how it is. Are we going to have a sub site for the Falcons now TJ?
