If this thread was about the persecution of gays, there's no way it would have garnered the kind of off-handed, callous responses it has received. Richard Dawkins is a hack and a poser who tries to come off as if he knows anything about theology when he is nothing but a science writer. Not a researcher, mind you, but a writer. He's not an authority in his own field. He is not educated in theology, and clearly shows how little he understands it in his disjointed, ill-tempered philosophical noodling. The guy is worthless and anyone with an education in science should be able to pick it up right off the bat.

Devout liberals tend to reveal their adherence to moral relativism in situations like this.

Christians living in relative peace deserve to die horrible unjust deaths, but criminals on death row are being treated unfairly. What a ridiculous dichotomy. Silly.

and here you have the reason that Islam is now the largest 'denomination' in the world. when you fear having your head cut off for apostasy, you tend to stay Muslim. in free Arab nations, you are seeing lots of conversions to Christianity as well as an undertow of Atheism.
