This story could qualify for wacko fantasy of the year. However, it happens to be all too true,
and makes me wonder what Bill Gates and his ilk know about the future that they are not telling us The issue of climate change -- even if real -- does not even begin to explain this. Yet another solid report from William Engdahl. MHG http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.p...xt=va&aid=7529 |

BTW Engdahl is correct that we didn't need this new seed bank. There were already numerous others in existence -- including one at my alma mater -- Colorado State University.

A seed bank is eminently practical for reasons other than just an imminent apocalypse. Christ, gaffney, is everything a portent for doom? |

I just saw this story on 60 Minutes ... so it's not exactly cloak and dagger, "wacko fantasy" stuff, gaff.
Besides, they save most of these seeds not because of global warming, but rather because certain strains of grains have proven to have important properties worth saving. The example 60 Minutes used was some Mongolian wheat strain that grew well at high altitude, but was in danger of being eradicated or something like that. |
