I try to watch "The Hustler" once every few months. It's a great movie that never gets old...

A small sampling that I think have for the most part aged pretty well:
Horror/Suspense Movie Genre: Halloween (the original); Jaws; Psycho; The 6th Sense (though I don't think this is 15 years old), Silence of the Lambs
Drama: Citizen Kane, Casablanca, On the Waterfront, Godfather, To Kill a Mockingbird, Schindler's List
Comedy: His Girl Friday, MASH, Young Frankenstein, Bringing Up Baby, A Christmas Story, The Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, It Happened One Night, Better Off dead
Kid's Movies: Goonies, ET, Wizard of Oz
Action: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Seven Samurai, Bonnie and Clyde
Musicals: Sound of Music, Singing in the Rain, Grease

Some that have not aged so gracefully:
Titanic - this got all sorts of awards and the film was well made, but it so over the top melodrama it pains me to watch it.
A lot of Hitchcock films: Still have interesting stories and psychology, but in some films the sheer sexism of the time evident in the film overwhelms it now (that's the problem with some of the Bond films too, that and some of the cheesy stuff that comes off too campy rather then timeless...there are some timeless Bond films though: Dr. No, Goldfinger maybe, but very few of Roger Moore's films come off as anything other then artifacts of the time they were made).

I'm not sure ... which one? Wouldn't he be too old for that?

I know the kid from Dead Poets Society is Wilson.

Ahh, you are correct sir. I researched it and indeed, it is not Pinto. I knew I'd seen him somewhere else and took a shot

You want my personal #1 shockingly best surprise performance by an actor? Kal Penn fooled me, but this one takes the cake: You know how distinctive-looking Tony Siragusa is ... it would be hard to mistake Tony for somebody else. But I did. About 5 years ago we went to the theater see the Spike Lee movie "25th Hour" with Edward Norton. Anyway, there's a small-middle sized part in the film - a Russian mobster - who looked a LOT like Siragusa. When he first came onscreen, I whispered to my gf, "I think that's a former football player." But as the film went on, the actor's subtle performance and spot-on unforced Russian accent actually convinced me it was NOT Siragusa. So when the credits rolled, I was shocked to see it WAS Sirgausa.

For a guy as distinctive looking as he is, that's quite a feat. To convince a fairly discerning movie-goer that you are not you. Like I said ... isn't that the mark of a good actor? To convince viewers you are somebody else?

"25th Hour" is a damn good gritty crime film, too ... kinda like 'Rounders.'

Just rewatched Blade Runner again. Middle of the movie kind of dragged a little but the ending picked up and still a very good movie I think.

Agreed and also I think the movie your Avatar comes from is pretty funny still, Groundhog Day. I am a big fan of Bill Murray. One of my favorite Christmas movies is Scrooged.
