Default Vets, Colorado Citizens...You need to read this

I challenge you to find a bigger jackass in the Colorado legislature. He not only kicked a photographer as he was being sworn into office, now he was the lone vote against honoring vets returning from Iraq.

TailgateNut: I know we don't see eye to eye on politics but I'd encourage you to send an email to this a-hole.

http://www.rockymountainnews.com/new...votes-no-vets/

Today he infuriated fellow lawmakers by being the lone legislator who refused to cosponsor a Joint House-Senate resolution honoring Military and Veterans Appreciation Day. He would not say why he did it.

“Today we were honoring people who died for our country, who served our country, and Douglas Bruce is spitting in the eye of every veteran who served our country, and it’s a disgrace,” said Rep. David Balmer, R-Centennial, an Army veteran who served in Afghanistan. “I’m so angry I can’t even talk right now.”

Here is the clip of him kicking the photographer. He never even offered up an apology for his actions.

Thanks Meck.

I just send the POS a "nice" e-mail. Hopefully he'll have the balls to call me, although I doubt he's man enough judging from his actions.

I don't know what is going in that dudes mind. I sent him emails also. I don't agree with him kicking the photographer but I'll give him one big mistake as a new guy but this second one is just out of line.

Whether you are for or against the war I just can't understand why he would vote against honoring our vets. He was the only one. I'm sending the same message to other vets I know.

If enough people call this jackass out maybe he'll have the guts to make some sort of statement.

I saw him walking around the capital a few weeks ago when I was there. I thought to myself "I should stick my foot out and trip this guy in the hallway. "

The reality is he doesn't need to be tripped. He's doing a good job of tripping over himself.

Doug Bruce has been a longtime activist in local politics... I don't agree w/ some of his views, but in this case I do.

You agree with not showing a little appreciation to vets who are fighting and have fought in wars?

Please explain that position a little more as he was the ONLY legislator to take that position. He didn't even have the guts to explain why.

Isn't this idiot a conservative activist who changed his party affiliation to GOP right before he moved to Colorado?

See ya Bruce! He got the boot!

http://www.rockymountainnews.com/new...-tossed-panel/

Rep. Douglas Bruce, R-Colorado Springs, has been booted from the House State, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee.

“I no longer believe it is in the best interest of the House nor for the active-duty or retired military personnel of Colorado to have Representative Bruce continue to serve on the committee of reference for veterans and military affairs,” House Republican Leader Mike May, R-Parker, said in a statement.

Earlier this week, Bruce angered his colleagues when he refused to co-sponsor a resolution honoring Military and Veterans Appreciation Day.

The committee change will take effect immediately, and a replacement will be named next week, May said.

Good ****ing ridance. This guy is an embarrassment to Colorado. He has yet to reply to my e-mail, and hasn't called me to talk about my comments. I wanted to invite him to sunday breakfast at the VFW to discuss his positions regarding Vets. I'm sure we'd have a hayday with his silly ass.

Nut our buddy strikes again! There was the third and final reading for the adverse possession bill you heard about at the rally. HB1148. 63 law makers voted for it and 1 against it. Guess who the lone vote was that thought people should lose their yard if someone tresspasses across it long enough?

You got it!

I sent him an email and it got kicked back. I think his mailbox is full. He is nothing more than a huge cry baby who got punked in public and now won't act like a grown man.

People actually voted this guy in.

He has yet to return my call or respond to my e-mail. He's a looser, plain and simple.

Bruce just loves to get his name in the paper. Today the Denver post reported that he claimed per diem for days he wasn't working. He said he just signed the request without reading it, and then furthe in the article he states something to the effect of : I just wanted to get the money out of the goverments hands and into the hands of a charity.

WTF is wrong with him?

I'll try to find an online link.

Colorado Springs of all places... Lots of Military and ex-military there... I'd say he may be the most hated person in the Springs right now

Nut I read those articles you are talking about. There were 20 or so more law makers who were in his boat though but they singled him out. As much as I dislike Bruce's actions, he claims he donates all his salary to charity anyway.

Bruce is a marked man now but this guy continues to make an ass out of himself.

Here is the latest! He co-sponsored a resolution of civility amongst members of the house. Remember this is a guy who kicked a photographer and refused to apologize. He also refused to pass a resolution to honor vets. Now he wants a resolution passed to force member of the house to be civil?

http://www.denverpost.com/politics/ci_8304878

I'm going to be down at the Capital quite a bit over the next couple months. If I see this guy I flat out am going to ask him what is wrong with him.
