In the "too little, too late" column, some conservatives are trying a last-minute rally around Huckabee to deny McCain the nomination but it seems very unlikely to succeed.
Among the only three viable candidates left, I rank it: 1. Obama 2. McCain 3. Clinton If the election is Obama-McCain, I'll vote Obama. If the election is Clinton-McCain, I'll vote third party. |

I can't answer this quasi poll.
I do not see any options beyond Obama. I don't want religion ruling the WH (see Huckabee) I don't trust the town crier (see Hillary) I don't want war to continue for the rest of my life (see McCain) I don't want a lame duck president from day one (see RP) |

You mean more than Bush? I don't have that much time to type. I'll just leave it that Obama is against the war, I agree with him on social issues, I trust who he will put on the Supreme Court, and I don't think he will lie to the people of this nation.
'nuff said. |

All politicians lie. If you don't grasp that, you're not mature enough to be voting.
Bob Kerrey (D-NE) said of Bill Clinton when he first ran for the presidency "He's an exceptionally good liar." And Kerrey said that with admiration. When someone once asked Ronald Reagan if being an actor hurt him as president, he replied "I don't see how anyone can do this job without being an actor." Think about it. A large chunk of your time is spent acting "presidential" and giving speeches whether you feel like doing it or not. If you can't fake being a leader, you'll never get elected. I'm not saying everyone who runs for office is a fake. I think many have sincere ideas about where they want to lead the country and what policies they want enacted. But all successful politicians have that ability to tell lies with absolute conviction. That's a truth that crosses party lines. |

OK, how about this. I don't think he will tell a bold faced lie to the country about WMDs and get us entangled in a non-justifiable war?
Oh, and for the record, I thought that Carter and Bush Sr. were as honest as Presidents can be while still leading the country. |
