Wow... Just about every day in my area of the mountains a tourist slides off my paved icy road. It's usually some idiot in a big ass 4x4 truck. They wouldn't last 5 minutes on that road. That's a pretty tight looking switchback ahead of you.

What was the name of that trucker show where the guys were driving across flat ice? Seems like a cake walk compared to that down hill turn.

I don't quite understand the macho mentality of the fools that think their 4x4 doesn't need snow tires or chains on icy roads. Cracks me up every time. Seems like the front wheel drive hondas do better then some of the idiots driving around in their lifted trucks.

I guess some people don't get the connection between tire traction and roads.

Cool, out in my neck of the world! Lotsa fun up there in the hills, cept when you are in a truck in the middle of winter hauling a load! There is so much going on in this part of the state right now, trucks are everywhere hauling all kinds of loads way out in the sticks.

Its lots more fun in something like this:

Come on up to Montucky, these rednecks up here 1. cant drive for ****, 2. think that 4 wheel drive means 4 wheel stop and ice has no effect, 3. the bigger the tires, the bigger attitude and ego.
