Default CoT Performance

Just curious to see what you all thought of the CoT so far. It looks like the teams are starting to understand it better and the problems that teams stated about being able to pass on intermediate tracks looked to be fixed at Fontana. It's nice to see that other teams besides Hendrick have figured out how to put a CoT in victory lane.

Isn't there a saying in racing that if you aren't cheating you aren't trying to win?

Very true. How blatant was that, though?

Not very blatant. It really didn't shave much off and people get away with a lot worse

Looks like the intermediate tracks are still going to be boring as hell. So far everyone has said that the leader has a huge advantage and that they can run up to the lead cars bumper but can't get enough of a run to pass them.

At the Nationwide race yesterday the toys had a 29 hp advantage. Also, it harder to slip under a bumper. I dont like the new cars.

Indy was by far the most boring race I have watched in a couple of years. I just heard on the radio that Goodyear is going to look into new compounds for the CoT tires. Glad it just took a horrible race at the premier race track in our country to finally wake them up.
