Default Scientology and The Passion of ‘Anonymous’ to destroy them

A shadowy, loose-knit consortium of activists and hackers called 'Anonymous' is just the latest thorn in Scientology's side.

Now, a loose-knit consortium of hackers and activists calling itself "Anonymous" has declared "war" on the organization. In a creepy YouTube clip addressed to the "leaders of Scientology," a robotic voice announces "with the leakage of your latest propaganda video into mainstream circulation, the extent of your malign influence over those who trust you as leaders has been made clear to us. Anonymous has therefore decided that your organization should be destroyed." (The clip has been viewed more than 2 million times since it was posted Jan. 21.)...

That's pretty messed up. Hateful attacks on a religious belief are not going to make this world better. Why not offer a superior alternative and grow by attraction?

No worries. I'm not really territorial about these things. Probably why I don't start many threads to begin with. Just wanted to make sure the Newsweek article was noticed. It's a good portal to branch off into all the players and ideologies invlolved.

Maybe one of the mods could merge my thread under Brox33?

Yeah i'm not a fan of Scientology. I'm pretty open to some strange ones, but this one, i dunno - there just seems something amiss about it.

Those wackos got a pretty strong base here in Clearwater, although thankfully people have stepped up to challenge them lately.

it's all perspective. as wacky as scientology is, any religion can look that way when you think about it.

Usually I'd agree, but Scientology has/had its hands in alot of bad things. Alot of high ranking members of the Clearwater Police Department and Pinellas County Sheriffs Officer say they consider the Church of Scientology to be a criminal organization.
