The wife and I are planning on taking the kids to Disney world after I get back...I'm looking for any advice on where to stay, or of any town house deals. I already found round trip tickets from minneapolis for 200

so, are you planning on visiting any other part of orlando or just WDW?

If no other paert most def stay on property!! free transportation, early and later hours and no paying for parking. This is the way we go!

our fav place to stay is carribean beach resort....port orleans is nice too. this 2 places are moderstes..so not to pricy but not the chea[pest place to stay on property either...not as crowded as the "cheaper" on site stays.

that is our favorite family destination so any ?'s just ask

We are planning on flying on a tues and coming back on the following thursday. Some of the things I/we want to do are:
WDW
Sea World...get in free...who can beat that(For those of you who are in the military that didn't know that)
Universal Studios
I personally would like to go to Cape Canaveral.
What I was kind of thinking is 4 days at WDW, a Day at seaworld, a day or 2 at Universal and then a day with cape canaveral and maybe a beach trip.

I'll second the Caribbean. I also really like the Boardwalk. Can't go wrong with either one.

I third the Caribbean! We stayed there for 5 days and it was AWESOME! Free bus rides everywhere on the property and there's even the option of an adult night out at Downtown Disney! LOTS to do on the property! It was a blast.

Depending on the age of the kids and what you'll want to do, be realistic about how long it will take to see all the things you want to see. We were there for 5 days and only made it to two of the parks thoroughly and didn't spend enough time at one of them and barely made it to the 4th! Not to mention there is so much more than just the 4 main parks. There is downtown disney, the World Wide Sports complex, and more...so much more! Water parks, awesome hotels to visit...you name it, it's there!

Have fun man.

I take my son to Disneyland here and there.

I go during the week to beat the crowds, no such thing.

We stayed at Port Orleans last November. It's nice and fairly quiet, unlike some of the All-Star resorts. You can also take a river boat to Downtown Disney. It takes about 15 minutes, you don't have any other stops along the way, and it runs until midnight on the weekends. Much better than the bus, but I think it only runs to Port Orleans and Old Key West.

I think you've got the right idea about your other activities, too. Disney's great, but after 7 or 8 days, it can get to be a little much. Going to the other attractions will help break that up a little bit.

If you're planning on spending 4 or 5 days at Disney, I'd stay on the resort property. The buses are always running and it's easy to go back to your hotel for a couple of hours for a mid-day nap, trip to the pool, or lunch. You can go back to the parks later in the evening for the fireworks and, when they offer them, extra hours where the crowd is cleared out.

That sounds exactly like the trip I took there when I was a kid.....no lie, seen the same stuff (minus Universal Studios...it wasn't around yet).

I remember Cape Canaveral taking all day long.....be prepared for that.
