Chad Johnson arrived late to the Pro Bowl, but he definitely made an impact. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't a good one. Johnson, who wants to force a trade from the Cincinnati Bengals, did a light NFL Network interview with Jamie Dukes but he blew off the national reporters waiting to talk to him. The scene wasn't pretty. At one point, he brushed aside a NFL public relations representative who tried to stop him because it's mandatory that Pro Bowl players do interviews. Johnson faces a possible fine. Drew Rosenhaus, Johnson's agent, was in attendance at Thursday's practice. He said he is quietly working behind the scenes to fix the situation. Johnson isn't giving him much help. He was prickly dealing with the media Thursday, which is unusual for one of the most accessible players in the sport. In the NFL Network interview, Johnson seemingly talked in code. With no follow up questions, it was hard to get his point. Johnson said he wanted those in the Bengals organization who have been speaking out against him to go public with their complaints. He said he was hearing them for 16 weeks. "But now I don't hear them," Johnson said. "Where are you at now? It's time to let it out. The only voice I here is mine." The receiver is at his fifth Pro Bowl, replacing New England's Randy Moss, and he defended his self-promoting manner and discussed his performances. "Consistently, I've done it," he said in the NFL Network interview, according to The Associated Press. "I haven't done it perfect, but consistently at a high level. I get out of line at times, but what great one doesn't? What great one doesn't get emotional? Find me a great one who hasn't done it like that and I'll be quiet." The Bengals don't plan to trade Johnson. They also don't plan to get a new contract. He's suggested trades to the Washington Redskins or the Miami Dolphins. once again C.J. classless moron .... stop your internal dialogue Last edited by TDmvp; 02-08-2008 at 07:17 AM.. |

Chad Johnson shoved a Bengals media relations employee following Pro Bowl practice Thursday, according to FOXSports.com's Alex Marvez.
T.O. II? Marvez, with Bengals employee Michael Lipman beside him, asked Johnson if he felt better after venting at the Super Bowl last week. Johnson walked away, and when Lipman asked again, Chad reportedly shoved him and "stared him down." Johnson later admitted on the NFL Network that he's "gotten out of line every now and then" behind the scenes, adding "what great one doesn't? Find me a great one that doesn't do the same things I've done and I'll stop playing. Period." HOF Class of '08 Art Monk comes to mind. Source: FOXSports.com ---------- He's lost it. |

There, so shut the hell up. On second thought, keep on talkin'....hopefully you'll talk your way right into a season's worth of sitting out and I won't have to endure your stupid, self-serving antics for at least one year. Check that attitude as well....so much for the "upbeat, fun loving, no trouble" bullshat his asskissers constantly trot out to defend him with....in the end, a flavor clown is a flavor clown is a flavor clown...or, in other words, an azzhole. |

Chad Johnson is the biggest attention whore in pro football. He's not even that funny of a guy. Furthermore, I don't understand why he wants out of Cincinnati when he has Carson Palmer to deliver him the ball. Palmer has the strongest gun in football outside of Jay Cutler.

Paladin thinks that anyone who wants this goober on the Broncos' team should be banned from the Mane. This guy has lost his cool, period. He is worse than Rivers......
I cannot imagine any team wanting him becasue of his egotism and the antics. |

I know Rice did but I honestly can't remember Harrison acting like a douchbag at all. Reggie Wayne is another guy who knows his role and shut his mouth (to quote the Rock of all people). Say what you want about the Colts but they do not have lickbags in the WR corps.

Chad's asskissers have made for higher ground since his "upbeat personality" have been proved to be nothing more than your common, run of the mill, douchbagism.

Remember when the week after the Super Bowl meant something. Fans gathered around to see the best of the best take part in events that showcased talents the NFL had to offer. Remember those great skill challenges. Well whatever happened to them, and why should the fans be subjected to watching a bunch of reserves take center stage. What happened to the game that used to mean something?
Pro BowlThis year at the Pro Bowl roughly 20% of the players won’t be attending. Whether it is injuries, obligations, or being a (cough cough) sore loser, many players that were voted in will not play in this year’s game. It is one thing to not play in the game, but to not even show up. Somewhere down the line players forgot that the fans that watch the game are the same ones that basically allow them to make millions a year. Some notable players that won’t be attending are Tom Brady and Randy Moss. First off I don’t know why fans keep voting Brady in. He has turned it down for so many years it would be more surprising if he would actually pretend like he didn’t think he was better then everybody else and show up; however, apparently that ankle is hurting more then we all thought. I don’t know, maybe I missed it, but did Randy Moss even really get hit during the Super Bowl. Out of the few catches he had, none were very spectacular or ended in a tough hit, so forgive me for not knowing why he is injured. He barely even did anything throughout the entire playoffs. Maybe it is because the two didn’t say they were not attending until the day after the Super Bowl, but something tells me that, if they had won that game, then they would both be in the starting line up for the AFC. LT won’t be going due to injury. I don’t blame him. If I sat on the sidelines during the last game before the Super Bowl, then I wouldn’t want to play either. Long time “great” player Brett Farve won’t be playing. Something tells me that is a clue that he will be returning for another season. Remember you heard it here first. Then there was the skill challenge. Maybe I just missed it or something, but I scoured the guide everywhere and could not find it. However, now that I am thinking of it, it was probably on the NFL Network. So 10 people probably watched it. I have always been a sucker for skills competition. Personally, I don’t really even care about the actual game. If the NFL just decided to have a skills competition instead of a game, then I would still be happy with that. Most people usually don’t put too much effort into the actual game, but nobody wants to lose a skills competition. Plus unlike hockey or basketball all-star games football doesn’t really allow for tricks or cool things to be tried during the game such as throwing the basketball off the backboard and then dunking it. So maybe the NFL needs to go back to the drawing board and rethink the whole Pro Bowl experience. How many years can you have it in the same place. Perhaps you get rid of the game and just have a skill competition. There are so many different ways the NFL could take the Pro Bowl to make it more effective, but, unless they make some renovations, people will keep pondering, “remember when the Pro Bowl meant something?” |
