Per ESPN.
Guy could have had a Head Coaching job after the SB. Maybe he's hoping Coughlin won't hang around forever, or maybe one of these Holmgren/Mora Jr. coach of the future deals to keep him? |

personally, i would not want the Redskins job. snyder may want to win badly but he's already got the coordinators in place and that's a sign of a micro-manager. i think spags stays with the idea that coughlin may sign an extension but won't stay more than a year or two.

Mortenson reports Spagnuolo gets a 3 year deal at 2 million per to stay on as DC. That might do it for me.

I think it's wise that these talented young coordinators are taking money to stay where they are. It will only better prepare them for the future and allow them to wait until a job they really want comes open. The jobs that were available this offseason were terrible and the two good ones that will be open next year (Indy, Seattle) have already found their replacements. Washington is in cap hell, Atlanta has no talent or fanbase and Baltimore is old and bad. So why would Spagnuolo or Garrett leave to be put in a position of being fired in a few years? Smart move by both of these coaches.
