Yup. As was mentioned above, he was already well into the filming of another movie (a fantasy, with Christopher Plummer).
Last night on the news, they were playing clips from a very recent interview (supposedly his last) where he was discussing another movie he recently finished about the life of Bob Dylan. He was not at all happy with the movie and was clearly on drugs during the interview. He was very fidgety, looked strung out and was speaking very oddly. At one point, they asked him about his daughter and he somehow steered the conversation towards death and how he was now ok with dying in the near future because he felt like he would live through her a little. It was very creepy. |

Confused? Here's What You Need To Know About Heath Ledger's Death
Some of the details surrounding Heath Ledger's death yesterday have been a little murky, with conflicting reports from various media outlets. Let's answer some of your basic questions: Q. Did Ledger commit suicide? A. Police have changed their tune on that, saying his death appears to have been accidental. His family's statement described him as "life-loving." [SkyNews] Q. Was Ledger found in the apartment of an Olsen twin? A. No. Mary-Kate Olsen's people were called by a masseuse at the scene. Olsen told her to call the authorities. [PageSix] Q. Which medications were found in the apartment? A. Sleeping aids Ambien, Donormyl, Zoplicone and anti-anxiety meds Xanax and Valium. They were not, as was reported, "strewn around" his dead body, but in bottles and packaging in the bedroom, bathroom and rest of the apartment. [NYP] Q. What did his autopsy, performed this morning, indicate? A. The results were inconclusive, further tests to indicate a cause of death will take another ten days. TMZ reported last night that Ledger may have had pneumonia. [CNN] |

If that guy ever shows up near my area for a military funeral I might go to jail. I will exercise my fists right to free speech on his face.

Believe me when I tell you some people have thought about it through the years. The problem is that he tapes all his protests and any criminal threat done to him or his family would be severely prosecuted. They are all lawyers...

Kansas Baptist Church Intends to Picket Heath Ledger's Funeral Because He Played Gay Character jesus .... wtf
A radical Baptist church in Kansas known for picketing the funerals of soldiers who perished in Iraq said it intends to protest Heath Ledger's memorial service with signs claiming the actor died and is in Hell because he played a gay character in “Brokeback Mountain.” Shirley Phelps-Roper of the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka said that she and other members will picket Ledger’s United States memorial services, not those held in his native Australia. “You cannot live in defiance of God,” she said. “He got on that big screen with a big, fat message: God is a liar and it’s OK to be gay.” A press release circulated by the church references Leviticus 18:22 in the Bible, which states that “thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” “Heath Ledger is now in Hell, and has begun serving his eternal sentence there,” the Westboro Baptist announcement says. |

BMF is speaking in jest a little so shall i ..... why can't people who snap and kill and bunch of people be creative ... like the DC snipe ... what a waste and to kill kids and people pumping gas and stuff is wrong ... IF i was to go crazy i would at least be selective ... by sitting on a golf course for hours and wait on O.J. .... and then you could move onto phelps and phil spector , Robert Blake , but to just go around killing innocent is lame ... |

Heath Ledger took the role as the Joker very seriously because he didn't want to disappoint. The guy is a great actor and even he admitted back last summer that it was going to take his very best to pull off the Joker.
It was reported a number of times throughout the last few months that he has had some serious sleeping problems throughout the movie production and even after it was done. Apparently he tried taking sleep medicine and a it only helped him gain minimal sleep, so he took more. When he took more, his body was already weakened due to the lack of sleep and possible pneumonia |

Walked by the memorial again today (I work in the neighbourhood). Just very sad. It's a true loss. People are shocked not because they're celebrity obsessed (I could care less if Affleck kicked the bucket) but because of his talent and because he was known to be a great, old fashioned person.

I was watching the Soup on TV the other night and at the end of the program they gave him a pretty good tribute, it went something like this...
this week we lost Heath Ledger, a man we never highlighted on this show, so you haters stop digging, he never did anything wrong, he was a good man and it's a trajic loss I was very impressed with the tribute. |
