My #1 want is Kenny Phillips and then 2 LBs (preferably Bell and Goff). After that, I want to use the rest of our pix to deepen the trenches on both sides.
However, if Kenny is not in the cards, I'd love Dan Connor to play OLB for us. I wanted Puz REAL bad last year and hindsight being 20/20, he could have filled a huge void for us. Not that Moss can't be the real deal, but our LBs were an embarrassment. Anyone watching Connor play tonight? Dude is a monster and always in position to make plays. Almost never misses tackles and can play inside or out. Again, gimme Kenny, but Connor is a VERY close #2 on my wish list. Nobody really caught my eye in the early games (except the Safety Pegues of Miss St, but I think he's an underclassman) and the A&M DT is looking soft vs an average PSU OLine. |

Yeah, I wanted Reggie Nelson last year. Knowing last years draft would likely be better than this years where safety is concerned, I felt it would be more sensible to go that route. Now, I feel like we should have taken a safety last year and so now I think we should get Gibril Wilson in FA as well as a DT.

What is everyones thoughts on Javorskie Lane? I dont think he will go that high if he is even drafted. He might be a good situational sledge hammer RB for short yardage.

I don't see Lane going pro this year. I could be wrong, but he has much room to improve his overall game. If he does go=Chris Fuamatu-Maafala...or however ya spell it.

Connor is a fine LB, but Sean Lee, the Junior is better.

Lee can't hold Connor's jock. It goes Puz, Connor THEN Lee. Now Lee is a stud, but he doesn't have the game the other 2 do.

I am definately looking forward to watching some of these prospects in the upcoming bowl games.... hmmmm. Why not start a thread with a list of bowl games with the top pro prospects listed per game (who to watch)... then we can come in and offer our takes on their play after the game. Just dont have the know how .... any takers.?
