After watching tonights game and dreading the last game of the season vs. the vikings i have to open for discussion what you guys think of the Vikings? They have built their team from the trenches out and it is showing.
I wish Denver would do that instead of patch players year after year and not really building a solid base for years to come (ALthough we do have a solid base at QB/WR/TE but that won't help if we can't block). My prediction is that our defense will make Tarvaris Jackson look like Dan Marino OR Adrian will top 300 yards and break his own rushing record. |

tavaris throws 5 ints, AD runs for 198 and 3 tds, and we have a late elam field goal to win it.

Let Jackson look like an all-pro against us... who cares. We did the same thing to Josh McCown and Vince Young when they usually suck every other week. What's allowing one more scrub to have a career day against our corners if they aren't going to do anything about it.

this won't be the last thread on this matter, and thank god because this one really whiffed.
There is a great deal of comedy involved when i think of AP vs. the Broncos rush defense. I pray that the next person at least gets it half right. |

I don't mean to Mock it, but i just really can't get over the fact that you mentioned T Jackson when it is so obviously going to be AP and Taylor that demolish us. Get your head in the game. And for crying out loud, get rid of the "Time for High Draft Picks" underneath your name.........500 Post Rule.

I don't mean to be pessimistic but sadly that's my nature...
IF AD does not set the NFL single game rushing record, I predict he will at least break Dillon's record for most yards given up by the Broncos to one player. I predict ugliness and a bitter taste in our mouths for all of the offseason, ala SF '06. |

In a similar "play out the string" meaningless season ender in 1999, some stiff named Jermaine Fazande, kicked us in the balls to the tune of 183 yards, at Mile High.
And that was with veterans with pride like Romo, Neil Smith, Mobley, etc on the field. With this group, Peterson may be in for a 200 yard day. |

In John Elway's 2nd season, he chucked 5 TD's against the Vikings, for his only ever 5 TD game.
Now that's the strange coincidence I'd prefer this time around. Would be cool if Jay chucked 5 as well. |

i think the vikes have to win out barring a complete collapse by the Giants (which i wouldnt put it past them to do so. I wonder why Eli was the #1 pick, was it his pedigree? who knows, all i know is that it was a great move by the Chugg's FO to take that mediocre player and turn him into gold)

They are playing it down to the wire, bet on that... I don't think it will be all Adrian, though. I love to watch him run, i really do. He's just an animal, the most talented man on the field every game. But i do believe that Chester will get his share as well. Have two backs ever gotten 150 in the same game?

We will give up 300 yards rushing. It can be to one back or two, but write it down. Sad to say, but with this group they may have already quit and won't show much pride other than Lynch.

We're going to hold both Peterson and Taylor under 100 yards...mark that down.

If Lynch's words are anything to go by our defensive players will be playing balls out in the last 2 games to keep their jobs next season. Whether they're good enough to stop AP is another matter altogether but no-one will come into our house again for a while and do what the Chargers did to us.
