Default We are letting it rip!!!!

Finally!

A bunch of us around here have been begging for this game plan. We're just letting Cutler use his big arm and we're protecting our weak defense. It's not generally how I'd like to see us play... but this year, it makes the most sense.

We should air it out like this the rest of the season. Nothing to lose!

This is just going to get Jay that much more comfortable, and will get some points on the board.

Great stuff.

Now the D is worn down, and we are falling apart. excellent.

O needs a long TD drive.

Popps is right though. Our defense can be somewhat effective but we have to keep the pressure on opposing offenses by opening up the playbook for Jay. If your going to draft a Qb with a arm than let him do what he is designed to do.

We're not doing anything differently. We're executing because our offense is coming together. Jay is getting better and so are the other guys. It's really that simple. It's not like we hired a new coaching staff last week. The run to pass ratio is the same and the only reason we're taking more shots down field is because their secondary blows.

But, look.... it's working!

We've got to try to hide our defense. It's that simple. Running some sort of modified run and gun offense is probably our best shot, at this stage. It worked tonight against a pretty good team.

Well, you're watching a different game than the rest of us.

Some of it may be execution, but Cutler is making different throws.. we've used more play-action and we're making a concerted effort to throw the ball deep.

No one said we "hired a different coaching staff."

Whatever. dude. Find more reasons to b****. Get lost.

I stand corrected.

Crowder looked a little better tonight, though. That's something!

Definitely, we can see some improvement the last couple of weeks. But still got a lot of work to do on that side of the ball.

Also, our new 97 made more plays in one game than "Hot 97" made in half the season. Pretty encouraging and it makes you understand the staff's urgency to get him back in the lineup.

I'm not b****ing. However if you want to get personal I can do that too. I don't think you're very good at interpreting what's happening in a football game. A good example is when you complain about DJ Williams "always running into blocks." Anyone with a marginal knowledge of football understands that his assignment is often to neutralize the lead blocker by taking him out. There's also a wealth of things about your criticisms of Cutler which aren't on the mark either. I just don't think you know what you're seeing.

You are also one of the people that is most easily influenced by a win or a loss. After loses you condemn the whole team and staff as crappy and after wins suddenly "we're doing something different!" Our offense was young and had new parts and a lot of this is them slowly coming together coupled with the Titans having some of their best players hurt. Popps, you've demonstrated in this very thread that the concept of attacking teams differently varies based on personnel. I just generally disagree with you on football takes, Popps.

Give it up to Cutler, 2 TD, no INTs and a win against one of the best D's in the league. He played his best game yet!

Dude, I just said you were b****ing. How "personal" is that. You're the one with the bi-polar posting style who makes a thread every time you fart to tell us how bad it was.

I have no idea where your bizarre tirade comes from, and as you can imagine... don't care.

Suck it, ya kook.

He only had one or two silly throws tonight. Hell, most vets have that many. We were moving him around a little more than usual, so it was hard to judge his mechanics as compared to prior games. I'll watch the tape. But, MAN does the kid have an arm. I love that we used the play-action to let him get set up to rip it.

Probably a nice confidence builder for him, too.

Kudos to our rookies -- who are coming on strong.

Thomas forces a fumble and Crowder nails VY for a BIG sack.

I am impressed with Crowder's speed. It looks like our draft class is going to pay off -- in the end.

ESPN just said 4 TDs of 40 plus yards for first time in franchise history.

I really hope Javon is available soon. This offense could be a whole lot of fun to watch with 3 legitimate wide receivers, not to mention 2 dependable TEs and Selvin.

I was just thinking the same. Stokley is clutch, Marshall's playing his balls off, the TE are good for a few , the Rb's are coming into their own. If Javon was healthy it would be icing on the cake. Hope he comes back healthy soon !

I dont think New England has enough quality corners to match up with our WRs.

I don't think that would even matter, cuz New England would score 60 on this defence.

Don't even go there...please.

I think the Patriots could hold a weekly contest to allow fans to play the defensive position of their choice & still walk by three TDs.

Besides, the Broncos would have to win the division and a wild-card game just to get the 'honor'.

I agree with Taco John in that it might be great experience for Cutler to make the play-offs and...you know...take a shot, but at 5 & 5, that's still a long ways away.

I agree.... we need to focus on Chicago; not NE. That's our next game. There's a lot of football yet to be played before we really even start thinking about playoffs.

We're fans. We're not on the team. Were talking. Thats whats fans do. Focusing on Chicago is the teams job.
