No Cutler Sunday? They are showing the Chief-Bronco crapfest pretty much nationally too. It should be an exciting game......

Henry and Lynch...

(AP) ENGLEWOOD, Colo. Injured running back Travis Henry (knee) and free safety John Lynch (neck injury) continued to show improvement as the Broncos went through their final workout in advance of Sunday's game in Kansas City.

"Travis and John were limited, but looked better today," coach Mike Shanahan said. "Travis looked better today, which is encouraging, and John's numbness is better."

Shanahan said the availability of both players Sunday will be game day decision.

"I still don't know," Lynch said. "I'll talk with Mike and see what he's thinking and how I'm feeling and we'll put it together and see on Sunday."

Quarterback Jay Cutler (bruised left leg) made it through his third straight day of practice without incident.

"He looked good, ready to go," Shanahan said. "He did all the reps all three days without a setback."

BRONCOS TIP CAP to GONZALEZ: Broncos safeties don't need to reminded of Tony Gonzalez's resume to size up the Kansas City tight end.

"It won't show us anything that we already know," Denver safety-cornerback Domonique Ferguson said. "Tony is a great player and has been for a long time."

Gonzalez is averaging 94.2 receiving yards per game over the last four games. He has 21 career 100-yard receiving games.

He has 107 straight games with at least one reception, a streak that is second in NFL history among NFL tight ends. Hall of Famer Ozzie Newsome had 150.

"He knows how to work into open space, and being a tight end with a past history playing basketball probably helps him," Denver strong safety Nick Ferguson said. "Those are some of the reasons that contribute to his success."

In 20 games against the Broncos, Gonzalez has caught 76 passes for 891 yards and four touchdowns. He had two 100-yard receiving games against Denver.

"He and I have had some battles, and when you play a particular guy for a number of years, you get to know him and he gets to know you," Ferguson said. "It's as if you know your enemy better than he knows himself."

Hackney was signed so we don't need to look to Leach. I gotta say as the long snapper and the backup QB, Leach has the more job security than a bureaucrat in the State department.

Yea, when I got that text message from the insiders the first thing that came to mind was Cutler is little more injured than what was reported. I just don't trust this reporting staff, after Javon was supposed to play and then needs surgery.

Much a do about nothing. They had a vacant roster spot so why not be on the safe side and use it on Hackney. I like their thinking. Cos when we're 41-0 up with a quarter to go we can throw Darrell in.

That would be sweet, but if Hackney plays it will not be good for the broncos this week.
