And he can not tackle to save his life. He talks way to much when he has an audience.

Denver fans are a bunch of John Kerry's. 1 bad game (and really, lets give the other team a little credit here), and they're garbage. Bounce back with a good game, and he's Jesus. It's that way with every player and coach for some time, sans Champ and Elway.
Tough loss. Shame they didn't call tails. |

Ah gome on, Champ was beat also.
Fact is any corner back can look like crap, or can look like a shut down, depending on teh pass rush. Broncos had a pass rush versr the Steelers and tongiht they had nothing. Bly played last week with one arm, and still isn't healthy, Champ still has his quad. If you wanna blame them for this lose go ahead. But look at the offense Redzone scoring (again) or should I say lake there of any. Two times inside the five yard line and only 3 point and a turnover. Denver offense leaving points on the field. |

What do you expect when Denver puts 8 men in the box? The defense can't stop the run and Bates is gambling to compensate. Our corners will win some and lose some without over-the-top help. No tandem can be stuck on an island all day and expect to win every battle.

I guess all those articles I read when he was traded here that said he was a gambler that gets beat were just a figment of my imagination.
It's amazing how much **** people forget around here when they want to. It happens, Bly will get beat again. If the line could consistently get pressure on the QB, he might be able to make a few plays to offset those times he gets burned. |

Bly played with fire last weekend and he was hobbled from last week.
The one to blame IMO is "Mr. Hot 97" Simeon Rice, whos presence led to Jarvis loosing out on valuable PT. He is a worthless turd. |

If we won the toss and won, noone would've said a word about his performance. He got burnt one-on-one, not by his route, but by his pure speed. This is ridiculous. Noone made a thread about Bailey after he got burnt one-on-one by speed alone. Ugh.

Some people here seriously need to get a grip, especially some of these board regulars. Do you guys have no sense of what you are doing to the quality of this board?
Bly has been solid the whole time he has been here, as this is only the 2nd play I remember him being outright burned on, yet lets all go and talk about how we wasted money on him and so forth. Did you people forget the dark ages of Lenny Walls and Kelly Herndon? How about the fact that Bly played like a freakin warrior last week. We got a good solid player who has done far more good than bad here. And I don't mean to sound like a condescending a-hole here, but there chicken little **** is beyond stupid. It's killing the quality of the board while driving away solid long time posters. |

I think it that game comes with the territory when you have Bly. He is a streaky coner and he will have his bad games, and this was one of them but it's rare. He's not a bad coner by any means but he's not a Champ Bailey who is a consistent shut down coner WHEN HEALTHY. I was mad a Champ when that play happened, but you have to realize that does not and will not happen often and we forget he is human and will get beat. On top of that he's is not healthy. Come to think of it he got beat by TO on a long play two years ago when he had a quad injury like he does now.

I faxed the wrong contract to a buyer today.....Should I be FIRED? Maybe so, but I highly doubt it. Unless TJ was the recipient. He's a badass.

You can blame Bly to some degree for that last play, or Champ for the earlier hail marry, but what both plays were really exposing was our horrible safety play.
We needed 8 guys in the box to stop the run even a little, so Ferguson was our only protection behind them. He hurt us all game long in that role. Add OLBs who constantly misplayed their assignments in coverage and is it any wonder that Bly and Bailey were flying helter skelter all over the field and giving up some big plays? We lost the game when we only took one shot at the endzone in the final drive and after that settled for OT. We chose our fate knowing full well our defense wasn't likely to stop ****. |
