According to the Denver Post, Broncos RB Travis Henry's status for Week 8 against Green Bay is unknown after he left Sunday night's game against the Steelers with bruised ribs. Henry's status won't be known until later in the week. "I fell on it wrong," Henry said, wincing while he walked. "I think I'll be all right." Henry had 51 yards on 17 carries.
And late breaking news, Travis burned his tongue this afternoon when he overcooked his cup-o-noodles in the microwave. He's listed as day to day. |

Can we just send this schmuck off to do bong-loads with Ricky and be done with him?
Plus, he probably wants to spend more time with his kids... don't you think? |

Who was it that told me Travis Horny wasn't injury prone?

He's definitely the most unlikable Bronco runningback that I can remember ever having... which is saying a lot considering we had Clinton Portis.

For some reason I felt a lot less confident, though, last year with Tater and Mike in there.

To think that we ditched Droughns and M. Anderson, too.
Let's get the Selvin Young era started, for flip's sake . |

I am quite the opposite. I was less thrilled when Denver signed him and I have liked him more and more since we got him. I'm a huge fan now.

I'm a little puzzled as to the hate here -- strictly speaking (football-wise), Travis Henry has been a good addition to our team, and a big upgrade from Tinker Bell and Mike Anderson. He runs with authority and almost always gets positive yards.
It is hard rooting for him, though, knowing about the multiple drug suspensions and multiple love-children. But hell, we all rooted for Romanowski for a few years as well, and he was the spawn of satan.... |

I wouldn't be too quick to believe he has been that much of an upgrade. Bell and MA was the best 1-2 combo this team has had. They scored 20 rushing touchdowns in 2005, Travis is on pace for 2. |

Maybe, but the Bells sucked, and MA hasn't exactly rocked in Baltimore.

Ouch Rod Bernstein comparison...
TJ hated CP26? Why? The kid was the 2nd best Boncos back in the Shanny era. -------- During free agency I had hope'd that the Broncos would go after Jamal Lewis. But Shanny got his RB. I wonder how much Jeff Fisher played a role in Shanny wanting Henry. Last edited by HEAV; 10-24-2007 at 09:07 AM.. |

Besides, the Bernstein comparison doesn't really hold up since Henry hasn't missed a game yet. He'll play on Monday. |

I have to admit when it comes to his "running style", I love it. He really is suited for this offense. Obviously, the guy is in space...so, what this means for the future, who knows?
I think his mind is elsewhere right now, he is still running hard, but again, that "style" of his also gets him dinged up alot.... Anybody have ideas what we will do this year, and looking ahead down the road?..I know we will go Selvin 1a, and Andre Hall 1b What "medium range" Free Agents are out there for next year? Here is my "never going to happen" fantasy: Again, fantasy, but I think Marion Barber in our offense would kill people....i'm dreaming.... |

Didn't Wabbit also say he has an extremely bad sprained ankle or knee? Yet he's still out playing hard. I certainly don't approve of his off the field activites, but he's a helluva football player.

That's the same thing I thought. The guy hasn't missed a game, and has run very hard. The comparison doesn't fit. The hate for the guy, which is understandible, has people nit picking the guy. As a player, he's been worth the money. As a person, he's a turd. |

I'd like to let the grammatical error go and think of the injury prone Jewish Running Back we used to have, but it is Bernstine people, not Bernstein.
"Elway, ..... gives it left to Rabbi Bernstein, ........... who leaps in the air unnecessarily again, and dislocates his shoulder once again." The low point of 1993 had to be the home game against Tampa Bay. Benstine scored early but dislocated his shoulder on the TD, and then Craig Erickson beat us 17-10. Ouch. Charlie Waters DC era. Shalom. |

Bernstine and Willhite should've had a head to head competition to see who could leave his feet more unnecessarily, and get dinged up more often.
