"False sense of bravado"? Wow...thats pretty funny stuff. What a douche.

That was one of the more inspiring games you'll see in this football season.

No one is saying we are complete badasses or even close to elite. But to piss on us and degrade us throughout the article with slights here and there after we pulled off a pretty amazing win and really showed what Bronco heart, grit and determination is all about is pretty ****ing weak.

It's not surprising though. It is ESPN after all.

I'd kindly advise Gene Wojciechowski to go **** himself with an industrial grade sandpaper condom.

So, Mr. Wojciechowski, what are our flaws? You sure did a nice job pointing them out in the article.

he Broncos insist that the last-second victory was no accident

Hey ****-nut, we were never behind in the game. It shouldn't have even been close. A couple of bad plays and blown calls by the refs made it interesting.

Good god, I usually don't buy the "they hate us" stuff as far as writers go, but this guy MUST be a Steelers fan. Even Boob came in and said "good game." This guy has issues.

We actually were for a few minutes in the first quarter.

Is it a good thing when the best player on your team is the place-kicker?

Now, does this ****-brain really believe that, or does he think it's "edgy" writing? Either way, it's laughable.

The two home games are against the Packers and Tennessee. So good luck with that.

Yea, because the Titans and Packers are so much better than the Steelers.

Did ESPN just pull this guy out of a sports bar or something?

True. First possession. Then never again.

Point being, this guy acts like Pitt dominated and we pulled off a lucky squeaker at the end. What an ass-much.

We benefitted greatly tonight from scraping the Bates defense and going with Tampa cover 2, alternating with 8 in the box. Those different looks and the unusual amount of blitzing took awhile for the Steelers offense to adjust to.

By the way, for any silly Steelers fans wondering about the series history... we lead it Denver leads 16 wins to 9 losses, and I'd bet it's even more lopsided in the past decade.

I can understand the outsider skepticism, frankly, after getting laid waste 41-3 at home 2 weeks ago, but you'd think that maybe...just maybe the Broncos would have earned a 'determined' label over 'lucky'.

This fool is not good enough to cover preseason, let alone a game that matters. Is it any wonder I no longer stop by espin?

No argument from my side, but I just thought I´d point it out myself before a troll comes flying in.

I don't think anyone would argue that we've played like garbage. You're right, though. It's just a strange, angry slant to take towards a team who played a hard-fought, entertaining football game and won in a prime-time game.
It did seem oddly personal.

What do I think? ESPN sucks and should be ignored at every opportunity (aka "ESPN ruins everything it touches").

Ways in which I have changed:

1. Don't get any sports info from ESPN.com.
2. Don't watch Sportscenter/NFL Live/"original" programming.
3. Avoid all ESPN/ABC related sports as much as possible - which is tough with NASCAR on ABC (their coverage sucks) and MNF (3 hours of PTI and my TV on mute).

Maybe he had an article to the tune of "Steelers return to dominance, whip aside sorry Broncos" all but finished and was just pissed that he had to write a whole new article after the game.

Once again...I wonder why anyone from this website ever reads anything from ESPN because it always causes a workup of emotions over their inability to actually cover a team and know anything about it. ESPN cares about 3 teams in the AFC, the PATs obviously, INDY although I'm begining to wonder about that this year, and the millions of Steel curtain fans who subscribe to their website.

A team gets a much needed win and that's the best he can write about?

He implied that on the final drive the Broncos were helped by an offsides penalty on a third and one. Didn't Cutler get the first down on that play? If I'm remembering right they took the penalty because it gave them more yards, but they would of had the first down even without the penalty. So his point makes no sense.

Correct, and as we´re b****ing about penalties ... what about the BLATANT false start of the left side of the Steelers´ OL on the drive that tied the game that wasn´t called?

I believe this guy wrote an article last year and basically did the same thing as a Broncos hater. Time to search this one or check his past articles because I remember this long , polish name and i believe it is this turd. Here is the beginning of the Wik profile on him. "Born in Salina, Kansas, he became a senior writer for ESPN The Magazine in January 1998, having worked as a football reporter for the network since 1992. He was named senior national sports columnist for ESPN in June 2005. He also has worked at the Los Angeles Times, Dallas Morning News, and Denver Post. Wojciechowski graduated from the University of Tennessee, and he began his career as a sports writer covering college football and college basketball." That should explain his biased view point.

Gene Wojciechowski is the senior national columnist for ESPN.com. You can contact him at gene.wojciechowski@espn3.com. He co-authored Jerome Bettis' autobiography, "The Bus: My Life In and Out of a Helmet," which is available now.
