Bly helped turn the tide for the defense in the 1st half. Seemed like he was every where.
I personally don't care for Travis Henry, despite the fact that he is a good player. I wish he would just get the hell out of town already. |

We took some hits in that game. I assume Bly is ok because he almost snagged 2 more picks after getting hurt, maybe like champ got hurt a couple years back, and won't keep him out.
Scheffler was pwning, I hope he's ok. He was a huge asset on offense, especially with Walker already down. |

How come cheeseburger didnt throw at Bly knowing the guy had only one good wing? Amazing. I was watching and thinking he was going to go there, and he never did. Bly is a tough dude man!

Didn't look like his foot which was a good thing. Might have twisted up his knee a little bit. I hope he is alright.

Damn, Bly was the man tonight. Was very impressed with the way he stepped up. Did anyone else notice on the near pick in the endzone that he wouldn't extend his right arm to be helped up? Pretty spooky... his right arm was clutched around his waist. Though, he came back in the second half and finished out the game. Hope he's okay.

Following the game, Shanahan would only say that injuries would be evaluated tomorrow.
Reporters peppered him with questions about Bly & Scheffler and he just said he would know more after tomorrow. Henry has...and will continue to have...a chronic ankle & knee sprain unless he rests for a couple of weeks...but by then, his season could be over. Here's hoping the Scheffler injury isn't the foot he has been re-habbing, although several local sportscasters speculated that it was. One report from the sidelines (KOA radio) said trainers were treating his leg and/or ankle...not the foot...so, who knows for certain. Blys' injury might be a mild shoulder separation, but again, there haven't been any specificis given out. |

They actually kept going at his side with screens after he hurt his shoulder. Bly held his own though. I swear, watching the game both coaches looked to be copying each others plays with those flanker screens.

Yeah, Bly was a warrior tonight. He was really favoring his wing like it was broken on that near pick in the endzone. I gained a ton of respect for him tonight.

If tonight showed anything it showed that 1: Dre Bly has heart. Plain and simple, I don't care what you say, no one can question his heart. 2: The offense is 100x more effective when Scheffler is on the field. I don't know what it is about him, maybe it's the chemistry between him and Cutler, maybe he's just that good, but there is something there. So please let them both be alright.

Thanks for the report, wabbit.
Hopefully none of the injuries are serious. Bly was a real warrior out there and it was obvious he was in pain. I really hope Scheff is fine...he really brings something in the passing game, it is very, very noticeable, it really helps when he is screaming down the middle of the field. He's a true threat and he's badly needed right now, esp with Javon out for the forseeable future.

Bly will be fine. I'm more worried about Scheffler than anything else.

Both Bly and Scheffler were both interviewed on The News 4 show "All Access". they looked fine in their interviews, seemed upbeat. But, I guess we will find out more tomorrow.

If schef misses any time, Stokely beomces our number 2 option, with Dan Graham as the number 3. After that its... Glenn Martinez? We had all better hope Schef is good to go next week.

In addition, the team has an additional day to prepare for the Packers next Monday night, so that allows for an extra day off for the walking wounded. |

From the looks of it, sounds like Bly may have injured his should the same way Champ did.

In so I can keep an eye on this thread... Im curious about scheff, as when he was hobbling off the field he put zero weight on that bad foot. Hope all is well and we get Bailey back next week too.

CB Dre Bly --
On containing Pittsburgh RB Willie Parker -- "Today we did an excellent job of containing Willie Parker. He had no explosive runs over 40 yards like we had against the Chargers." On defensive performance -- "I liked the poise we showed as a defense even though we gave up some plays." On playing injured -- "There was some doubt [about whether he would come back into the game], but I'm a fiery guy. In games and in practice I don't like to come out. I want to get all the reps. I bruised my ACFL on that interception. You have to play through injuries, and with [CB] Champ [Bailey] being out I had to stick with it." from http://www.milehighreport.com/ As mentioned before, scheff was very cheerful during the koa postgame interview. He said he felt he let his team down with his slow return from the foot injury earlier this season and didnt mention a new injury... sounds like good news. Henry, I'm not sure about. He is seeming to take a presidential approach and simply ignore criticisms and repercussions for his actions while he can. Seems to be working for now. I like the guy. My gut tells me he wont miss playing time due to bruised ribs; though it does bring up the question of suspension and injury recuperation clauses. |
