Travis Henry's hearing on the appeal of the NFL's ruling that he violated the drug policy has been tentatively scheduled for November 5th.
The hearing is "tentative" because Henry is appealing the case in New York courts and that could postpone things. Regardless, it appears the earliest Henry could start serving his suspension is in Week 10. Source: Denver Post An NFL spokesman said the league has set a Nov. 5 hearing for Denver running back Travis Henry on his appeal for a third positive test for marijuana. He was informed in mid-September of the failed test. However, the appeal hearing date is tentative because Henry is fighting the NFL in the New York courts system. Still, the timeline for Henry's hearing is believed to be three to four weeks. "I know nothing," Henry said Friday. "I really don't know any dates for anything." http://www.denverpost.com/ci_7227367 |

If he loses, I wounder how long he has to repay his 12 mill signing bonus?
If he got 12 million as a bonus, had to pay 50% for tax(Just a guess), does he have to come up with 6 million out of pocket to pay back the Broncos? Does he get the tax money back? |

Obviously Pat Bowlen will want his money back and won't care how long it takes to get it, but from the fan perspective the repayment needs to happen before the start of next season to clear the attached cap hit. That is of course as long as his cap number for this year didn't already include some (or all) of that bonus money on top of his base. If thats the case than the residual cap hit will be even more minimal than it looks to be. Henry really screwed himself on this if he gets suspended. There is specific language in his contract that makes all his bonus money forfeit. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he finds himself in a situation where he's still under contract with us post-suspension at just his base year salaries. That'd be an interesting way for him to "work off" the bonus money he'll be unable to return (a la Ricky Williams still being under contract with Miami even though he's had to start repaying the bonus money they sued for). |

I had also read some where that there was a clause stating that if he were suspended that he had to pay back all of the bouns. What happens to the taxes he has paided on the money already recieved?

This date can't come fast enough. If we're going to tank anyways, my fantasy team should at least benefit. I got Selvin sitting the bench.
