Default Ann Coulter wants USA all Christian. No Jews allowed.

Ann Coulter is stirring up controversy again.

The conservative commentator said this week that the nation would be better off if all Americans were Christian and that she wants "Jews to be perfected, as they say."

Appearing on the CNBC show The Big Idea, Coulter was asked to give her version of a better America. She told the show's host, Donny Deutsch, that it would look like New York City during the 2004 Republican National Convention.

Pressed for details, Coulter said, "People were happy. They're Christian. They're tolerant. They defend America ..."

"Christian ... so we should be Christian?" Deutsch interrupted. "It would be better if we were all Christian?"

Coulter answered "Yes" once, and after being asked the same question again by an obviously surprised Deutsch, answered "Yes" a second time.

When Coulter tried to shift the conversation to the diverse congregations in Christian megachurches, the show's host brought the topic back to Coulter's statements about Jews.

Media Matters, the liberal media watchdog group which is publicizing the encounter, provided this transcript:

DEUTSCH: ... we should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians, then, or ...

COULTER: Yeah.

DEUTSCH: Really?

COULTER: Well, it's a lot easier. It's kind of a fast track.

DEUTSCH: Really?

COULTER: Yeah. You have to obey.

DEUTSCH: You can't possibly believe that.

COULTER: Yes.

"We just want Jews to be perfected, as they say," Coulter said later in the show. "That is what Christianity is. We believe the Old Testament, but ours is more like Federal Express."

"Candidly, I had her on not to talk about politics but to talk about her brand strategy," Deutsch later told AdWeek . "Whether you like her or not, her strategy is to be extreme and that's a way to make money. But because it's her, it drifted into politics."

"I simply asked her a question, something like, 'If the world was her way, what would it look like?' And she said something to the effect that everybody would be Christians," Deutsch told AdWeek. "I was somewhat baffled and asked if that meant there would be no Buddhists or Jews and I think her words were, 'perfected' Jews [would be OK]."

she is not actively advocating the destrution or forced conversion of all Jews. A christian is suppose to convert others to christianity, and in her perfect world, everyone would be converted to christianity.

Sounds to me like she's getting very close to advocating nullifying this:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

there are athiests who want to do away with religion altogether, but it's okay for them to spout similar lingo, and not her? Not that I agree with her what I consider a rather extreme take, but she has the right to free speech endorsing a religion just like the athiests of the country have the right to denograte ALL religion. No difference from where I sit....dman

I think a perfect world would be one without religion. I'd love to see everyone wake up. Me and John, man. Me and John.

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

And be glad Coulter says what she says publically. Isn't it better than her letting her feelings fester? Or have her working in the shadows? It's better to see her coming. You can hear her from a mile away. I'd much rather know where she sits and stands up front than to have her move into a position of real power and THEN have all this crap jump out.

I saw this this morning and it's not what she meant. Dude asked her how Christens view Jews. She gave an honest answer to the question.

It's always taken out of context. It's given and should be assumed at this point in everything we read. I am no fan of Ann, but she can be right on occasion

What would be the correct context? What was left out that would nullify what she said?

That's you people's standard excuse for when someone makes an ass out
of themselves, "Oh, they didn't mean it, they were misquoted." Yet
time after time, when confronted with the question, you never bother
to provide the whole text so the rest of us can evaluate it.
Deflect, deflect, deflect.

The "other" side of the story will come out soon enough. We'll see how it plays when one of the cable news networks dissects what really occurs. In any case, I'm not going to assume anything right now..dman

Bottom line Rob, she didn't go on the show and preach this like a Grand Wizard on the Springer show. She answered an honest question on what true christens that follow strict interpretation on the new testiment and old testiment believe. If you haven't seen the whole segment I recommend it to draw your own conclusions.

Here watch it. It's 8 minutes. The whole piece is directed on the topic of making money by being exactly what Olbermann, Coulter, and Limbaugh are: Controversial

Are you an idiot?

Even in the text you just quoted the first sentence is this:

"DEUTSCH: ... we should just throw Judaism away and we should all be Christians, then, or ..."

You don't even see the whole question.

Yeah, like when she called Edwards a "******." That was taken out of context too. Or how about these:

"[Clinton] masturbates in the sinks."---Rivera Live 8/2/99

"God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, 'Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours.'"---Hannity & Colmes, 6/20/01

The "backbone of the Democratic Party" is a "typical fat, implacable welfare recipient"---syndicated column 10/29/99

To a disabled Vietnam vet: "People like you caused us to lose that war."---MSNBC

"Women like Pamela Harriman and Patricia Duff are basically Anna Nicole Smith from the waist down. Let's just call it for what it is. They're whores."---Salon.com 11/16/00

Juan Gonzales is "Cuba's answer to Joey Buttafuoco," a "miscreant," "sperm-donor," and a "poor man's Hugh Hefner."---Rivera Live 5/1/00
(father of Elian Gonzales)

On Princess Diana's death: "Her children knew she's sleeping with all these men. That just seems to me, it's the definition of 'not a good mother.' ... Is everyone just saying here that it's okay to ostentatiously have premarital sex in front of your children?"..."[Diana is] an ordinary and pathetic and confessional - I've never had bulimia! I've never had an affair! I've never had a divorce! So I don't think she's better than I am."---MSNBC 9/12/97

"I think there should be a literacy test and a poll tax for people to vote."---Hannity & Colmes, 8/17/99

"I think [women] should be armed but should not [be allowed to] vote."---Politically Incorrect, 2/26/01

I didn't see those, nor I have I hread them. So yes they are taken out of context from where I sit. Keep in mind though...I don't agree with this woman on anything.

The ridiculous part is the show's host getting offended.

Agreed. It would be like Al Sharpton inviting David Duke onto his
radio show and then being offended when Duke said something
offensive about AAs.

I have to say that as a Christian myslef, her answer baffles me. I can't understand how anybody could even approach rationalizing what she said under any context. Her first amendment rights mean that she is free to say stupid things. My first amendment rights mean that it's ok for me to think she's a stupid b**** for what she says.
