"Jeff Francis is a pitcher capable of making mistakes."

You learn something new every day.

They make it sound like Francis is the only pitcher in the game tonight capable of making mistakes.

The media doesn't know quite what to make of Francis because he's a young guy who actually knows how to pitch - doesn't rely strictly on velocity, moves the ball around in the zone and changes speeds well. Keeps hitters off balance. I really like his chances.

Why do I get the feeling that there are not too many people focused on this series, the NL championship? Oh that is right, there isn't a team playing remotely close to the east coast!
There has been more news about how the Yankees missed again then Arizona and Colorado and the number of wins both teams have stacked up and how close this was for Colorado to beat out San Diego.

Anyhow, Go Diamondbacks! (sorry been a transplant in the desert to watch this team start from nothing. This is similar to how I became a Denver Bronco fan, living in Steamboat Springs at the time, they were devistated after the Dallas SB, the early Elway years were the rebuild, however we had a better D against the run back then?)

Don't like getting behind quickly to Webb. Too bad Todd didn't catch that first single.
