KFFL) Bill Williamson, of The Denver Post, reports Denver Broncos OG Chris Kuper will likely start at guard for the team. Kuper would be replacing OG Chris Myers, who is replacing the injured C Tom Nalen (biceps) at center.

Holy crap I didn't realize Nalen was lost for the year. I was visiting my nephew in the hospital for most the second half of the game and didn't see he got hurt. Same thing with Nate Jackson.

I for one think that getting a little youth in there will be good... especially on the Oline. Kuper will make some mistakes but the one thing I like about him is that he plays like a fireplug. He is going to bust his ass to get his guy on the ground.
Scheffler coming back is one of the best things i've heard all year. I just don't know why it has taken an injury to a topped out, non-improving injury prone TE to get our 2nd round pick back in there. |

!??!We have had a lot of QBs come through here since #7 hanged em up - and I have not seen this snapping problem the way its been with Cutler. Dont get me wrong, I love Cutler's potential and glad we have him. But I am not so sure the snap fumbling is all on Nalen |

He isn't talking about the snap fumbling. It hasn't been an issue that much. Its the shotgun snap thats the issue. And truthfully it was only really an issue in the Bills game. Its seems to have shored up a lot now.

That should be the end of Nate Jackson. The guy never can make it through a season.

We're to the point that if a guy has some heart we need to play his ass. I wonder if Martinez has a couple cousins...

BTW - in case you missed it - Shanahan said in his presser that Tom Nalen is the best center to ever play the game. |

Look at teams we have had real trouble with, they all have had an explosive pass catching TE. If Scheffler is ready to pick up where he was (at times) last year, this could be a great thing for our team. There is obviously some chemistry in the Cutler to Scheff thing, hopefully they can ignte that in weeks to come.
I'm not saying Schef is a Gates or a Dallas Clark, but he could be like a Todd Heap or Jason Witten type of TE. That would be huge for us, for Cutler's development, and in avoiding some of those long INT's we have been seeing lately. Schef on the field could be really big for us. |

Guys Tom Nalen will sorely missed and has been such an amazing Bronco and in my eyes, was all-pro every season.
That being said, Kuper/Myers/Pears all starting and getting valuable experience is only giving the team more preparation for the long haul. |

1. ****ing up the timeout call in the Buffalo game but Elam still nailed the FG. 2. Calling timeout on Janicowski's 1st kick. 3. Signing Brandon Stokley 4. Signing Dan Graham 5. Quote above. |

I'd be curious to know what Abdullah's weight is looking like right now. Between the injury and the Ramadan fasting, which I believe just ended, he's probably not even 200 lbs. How quickly he can get back into real playing weight/shape will be key.
