Taking the LSAT Tomorrow, Anyone else? - The Orange Mane

Tomorrow's the big day. I've taken three or four sample tests from previous years over the last few months, averaging between a 165-170. Hopefully I can repeat it tomorrow morning. If so I should be well on my way to a nice merit scholarship and three years of hell capped off by the bar exam!

So figured I'd see if anyone else was going to be grinding it out with me, or if any previous takers had some good advice for us. Best of luck to any fellow test takers!

I think you're setting the bar too high. Seriously. I took 6 years to graduate with a BS in Marketing. And it was the best 6 years of my life! College can be awesome, if you don't bury yourself in homework and studying. Take...your...time! After college is over, the sh***y part of life begins...the real part!

Lower your standards and expectations (or at least the time frame you expect to accomplish everything in)! I mean, you can still attain what you're out to get, just do it slower. Enjoy this part of your young life, for it won't be long until it's workworkworkworkwork!

To recap: Do your best on the test tomorrow. Test scores count for a lot! Next, get into a great college. Finally, get the degree(s) you want. But take your time, kid! Time only flies while you're in college. Afterwards, you'll look back and wonder about a lot of things. I look back, but I don't have many regrets because I took my damn time and had a great time! College is not to be rushed...enjoy it!

I already have a BS in Geology, I'm applying to law schools and if I go that route it'll be heavily based on me getting merit based scholarships that I'd have some need to maintain.

Believe me, I spent 5 years on my undergrad, I soaked up my share of the college experience (as well as a heavy dose of vodka and pot), this is a career move because while I'm a very good geologist I'd make a kickass lawyer.

Oh wait, I was kinda drunk last night and I didn't really think about what an LSAT is. I was thinking it was one of the college admission tests, like the SAT or ACT.

Wasn't that bad. I'd taken a ton of practice tests and was always basically finishing sections with a minute or two to spare. I struggled through the first section (logic games) and didn't get as much time on the last problem as I'd have liked but I still finished.

From there on easy sailing though. I was finishing 10 minutes early section after section. Hell, I went to the bathroom in the middle of one and when I got back still had time to double check all my answers. Most people were having a hard time finishing sections period from the looks of it. Hopefully it means I aced it.

My average on practice tests was the mid to high 160's. If I can do that I should get into a pretty solid law school with a full ride. I'm hoping to break the 170's though, at which point I'll start applying to Washington University, University of Chicago, etc., some of the top law schools in the country.
