Default Culpepper to start

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=090...o&confirm=true

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Oakland Raiders quarterback Josh McCown will miss Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins with a broken toe on his left foot, giving Daunte Culpepper the start against his former team.
Oakland Raiders

McCown has not practiced all week, but coach Lane Kiffin waited until Friday to officially declare that he would not be able to play Sunday.

McCown broke his toe in the first quarter of last week's 26-24 victory over Cleveland. Culpepper replaced him in the second half and finished the victory.

Culpepper, who was released by the Dolphins in July after one season, will get his first start since last Oct. 1 for Miami.

Andrew Walter will be the backup Sunday and No. 1 overall draft pick JaMarcus Russell will be the third-stringer. Russell has been with the team for a little more than two weeks after a lengthy contract dispute now wants cherry flavored gatorade vs the team favorite lemon-lime, russells lawyer is scheduled to sit down with al davis to work out an agreement.

Pro Bowl defensive end Derrick Burgess, who missed last week's game with a calf injury, is listed as questionable for the Raiders. Offensive linemen Robert Gallery and Jeremy Newberry are probable for the game.

I fail to see why football news about one of our division rivals do not belong on this board? Especially when posted by a fellow Bronco fan?

Always good to keep on news from the AFC west.

I think DC will improve them. Hope not too much. just enough to get them out of picking in top draft like they have been for years now.

Funny how they shipped out Moss just as they picked up Pepper.

So far Broncofan2438's contributions today have been ordering people to STFU because he doesn't like the topics or thinks they don't matter. He was whining over on the Ben Hamilton thread too because people kept responding to the posts.

Maybe he should STFU and let people discus what we want.

At first I thought this was an attempt at being funny but then realized it was an nfl.com link... WTF? Don't they have better things to be worrying about?

This is going to be a fun situation to watch develop. First, the guy hurts the team by not showing up for training camp when the team could've taken someone that would've played this year in the first place... then he says F the team, I want different gatorade... The guy has been there two weeks and wants to tell the team what he wants... I can't wait to see when he takes over down there.
