Default VS Colts-- I vote Crowder at D-Tackle

I was pondering the colts no huddle and our dline. What happens if Sam Adams gets stuck on the field for an entire drive? Gorden and Burton seem to tire as well. I am placing my vote for Tim Crowder and Simeon Rice to one side, Elvis and McKinley to the other. Crowder would command a double team due to speed and quickness, and the ability to get off a block and make the tackle. McKinley is not a fat pos. Those 4 would pose the best pass rush with edge speed and the motor of crowder. What do you guys and gals think?

No I want 3, mckiney is a tackle, and explains where it is better to have 1 tackle that gets blown off the ball all the time anyway, and one that cant move to make the tackle. Mind you, this is just for the colts.

I think we would set a new NFL record for rushing yards given up

We might set that with our DTs anyway.

All you are doing is replacing a waste of space 315 pounder for a very strong, athletic, high motor that weighs 275.

Sadly, Burton didn't dress for the Bills or the Jags.

I dunno ... they were planning to move Ekuban inside on third downs, guys. Might not be such a bad idea for a few plays anyway ... might rattle Longneck a bit.

It makes the best pass rush we can muster with 4 guys. We have to pick our poison and I would rather get beat by the run then the pass.

Not me I had enough of getting pushed around like school children last week. Id rather take my chances with Champ/Bly & company making enough plays to keep us in the game. Atleast the O will see the field more then 1/2 dozen times.

I think it's a great idea for 3rd downs. I believe Crowder was already doing that in practice before he got hurt. It would be great to get some clarity on the 2 or 3 bozos that are supposedly the ones consistently screwing up their gap assignments.

Stay with the game plan... According to everything i've read, watched, and listened to this is an issue of missed assignments and missed tackles. Bates entire system is based on 2 mamoths in the middle. You don't change that because DJ can't seem to fill the right hole and Ian has forgotten how to tackle.

Actually Mckinley played 3-4 Defensive end in Cleveland. he up to this point in his career was a end while he moved to DT in denver

Just a question, but what the hell has Crowder done at all this season? Has he even played?

I vote to just skip this game. If our D plays like last week, Addai is going to almost equal his entire output for last season. I don't see any solution other than the front seven getting their act together. I think I will break my TV if Peyten rushes for fifty yards. . . I don't see their Wayne or Harrison having very big days, because it will be too easy for Clark, Addai and Gonzales. I just hope I am wrong.

All I have to say is thank god I don't have to go to a sports bar this week. I'm thinking I would be getting pretty embarassed in there wearing Bronco gear and getting blown out.

While I am not optimistic, I remain hopeful, as always. Perhaps this will be a breakout game for Marcus Thomas. I think he is a better option than Crowder at DT.

We are giving up 88 yards a game passing. I'm scared of there rushing attack beating the S*** out of us . I'm a lot more frightened about getting cauht with adams on the field for an entire drive.
