this is different than the cover2 sceme......one thing about DJ is that he is semi fast, and the tampa 2 drops him into deep coverage between the hash marks....thats only like 10 yards he should be able to cover that........plus it keeps the corners up close the little 5 yard passes are killing us.

Our biggest problem is stopping the inside run.Tampa 2 doesn't do anything for that. Once we sure up that, I think our Defensive Scheme is fine. Inside runs and QB sneaks is what really killed us.

i agree with you, the problem is that even cheating the corners and safetys up to stop the run didn't help..... all it did was also open up their passing game. If we stop the pass, and force them to run, eventually we should be able to stop it because we wouldn't have to worry about the pass rush so much because of the tampa 2 sceme.

Tampa 2 would throw away our greatest strengths and minimalize the talent of Champ and Dre. Not to mention this will do nothing to help DJ take on a blocker and fill gap assignments.

weren't the Broncos running a version of the Tampa 2 with Coyer?
come on people...it doesn't matter what scheme the broncos run, they need better players |
