Default JaMarcus Russell could play O-line for Raiders

JaMarcus Russell reportedly weighed in at 278 pounds when he showed up to the Raiders after signing his $61 million rookie contract.

Wow. Russell made headlines at the Combine for weighing in at 265, which was slightly heavier than his playing weight at LSU. He was also said to have ballooned to 300+ during his early college days. With weight to shed and an offense to learn, don't count on Russell getting playing time soon.

With their Oline problems last year I guess Al decided he needed a large QB to withstand the constant defensive pressure and rush. He's saving money Russell will fill the role of two offensive positions.

He could center the ball to himself.

Sounds like the next Cullpepper. He is a good qb but I never seen him as really deserving the #1 overall. It was a move they had to make because the fade still dont have a qb and it was a move that was needed.
