Default Official Jaguars @ Broncos Game Thread 9/23/07

The Broncos became the first team since the 2004 Green Bay Packers to post back-to-back wins on the final play of the game with their 23-20 overtime victory at home against the Raiders last week.

Broncos all-time leading rusher Terrell Davis (1995-2002) will become the 21st inductee into the club’s Ring of Fame during a ceremony at halftime of Sunday’s game. Denver also will celebrate its alumni weekend and 10-year anniversary of its 1997 Super Bowl XXXII championship team around its contest against the Jaguars.

With the league’s No. 1 offense (455.5 ypg.) and No. 2 defense (218.5 ypg.), the Broncos own the best yardage differential in the NFL (+437).

Denver is the only team in the league to not allow a red zone score while quarterback Jay Cutler has directed an offense that has gone three-and-out only once in 22 series (NFL-best 4.5%).

The Broncos’ last four games dating back to last season have been decided by a total of eight points with Denver posting a 3-1 record in those contests.

"To be great, you have to put in the time. It's something Javon Walker's been doing. He works extremely hard and I know he wants to be considered among the best. That's why he's put forth the effort to be the best. And it's showing on Sundays." -Dre Bly

"Look, I'm the first to say we know we have to get better and we do have to get better because there are stronger offenses out there that we'll see, and over the long haul you're just not going to be one of the better defenses if you can't defend the run consistently." - Mike Shanahan

This is not my style as of right now, coming in here and there,It’s throwing me off right now. But things are supposed to work themselves out where I get in there and really start shining and doing my thing. - Simeon Rice

"That's what I love most about him, the guy is not afraid. He is fearless. He doesn't care. He totally believes he's going to win the battle, and if he doesn't, he'll come back right away and win it." - Champ on Bly

"He didn't go anywhere,You guys are going to compare us whether we shy away from him or not. Until we win the Super Bowl, people here are going to throw out John Elway's name. So we might as well embrace it. He's the greatest quarterback who ever played. Why not appreciate it?" - Jay Cutler

Broncos need to get within the opposing teams 20 yard line so that Travis Henry can put some points on the board. At that distance Jay will run one of in.

OSKIE is working for defense but what are we going to do for special teams? Somebody wake up Mr. Hixon. He has a built in fan club and he's jacking up his own mojo.

It is my expert opinion the the most important key to winning this hard fought contest is that the Broncos score more points than the Jaguars.

(waiting for the Captain Obvious commentary......)

Thanks for the compliments.

By the way if anyone wants me to add something, like I was asked if I could put the sopcast link up and putting the Play by Play announcers up. Little things like that, just let me know.

DirecTV better not screw me out of this one. I don't want to miss this game.

Screw DirecTV Latin America... I'm paying almost twice what I paid last year for the NFL Ticket and I get only 6 games per sunday? Idiots.
