Default Clayton: Jags' Henderson Out For Sunday

Officially listed as "questionable" then "doubtful", ESPN's John Clayton says DT John Henderson will be out for Sunday's game due to a concussion (as heard on ESPN News). That's a plus for our running game as Henderson can be a beast in the middle.

That helps a lot. Plus Hayward is still recovering from the achilles and their other DL is dinged as well. Hopefully we can own the LOS especially in the Red Zone.

It's looking like a pretty rosy start for Denver this year.

Also I read on covers.com that Maurice Jones-Drew will probably be out with an "undisclosed injury."

Our run defense has been shakey, but I'll take my chances against Fred Taylor.

Rosy my ass. I need Travis Henry to get me some more points dammit. When you have no wide receivers and just runningbacks, I need everything I can get in fantasy league.

All we need now is for Manning to get injured, something minor like a bruised thumb and be out for the denver game

I do not wish injury on anyone. However I have to say that this does not break my heart.

Henderson playing or not, Denver wins by more than a TD.

This is pretty BIG! He's a valuable player to them and lets hope that they win by more than a TD. I"m tired of almost having a heart attack each week.

It's only been 2 weeks. I've rather enjoyed the games. First game on the road to start the season. Second game, first at home and playing a Raiders team that lost their opening game. This game, crappy Jags team who have won a game vs the the ultra bad Falcons. Denver wins easily. Garrard this and that, sucks. And Del Rio sucks.

Get ahead of what? It's the Jags, not the Colts this week. Denver will own them.

Just so we have a linked article...

http://www.cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10364719

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle John Henderson missed his third consecutive practice Friday and was listed as doubtful for Sunday's game at Denver.

Henderson, a two-time Pro Bowl selection who has not missed a game in his six-year career, suffered a concussion last week against Atlanta. He returned to the game later, then had to be helped to the locker room with what team officials called "heat-related issues."

If Henderson does not play, backup Rob Meier likely will start alongside Marcus Stroud.

The Jaguars have been banged up along the defensive line in recent weeks, with Stroud (ankle) and ends Paul Spicer (back) and Reggie Hayward (Achilles' tendon) still recovering from injuries.

Jacksonville, though, should have defensive tackle Tony McDaniel available for the first time this season. McDaniel sprained his left knee in the preseason and sat out the first two games. He returned to practice last week and was listed as probable Friday.

Cornerback Brian Williams (ankle) also missed practice Friday but was listed as probable.

This is definitely a good thing for us. I fear Henderson more than Stroud. We need to get on him early and often and get to Peterson. We need to get those young safeties up and take it to the secondary through the air.

Oh shut up.

If you had LT or Stephen Jackson I could understand you b****ing, but at least your RB gets more than 15 rushing yards a game.

Maybe Ill get the hint and bench LT for Jamal Lewis this week

When was this? When was the other time they beat us recently?

Finally found when that 2nd loss was, and it was back in 1999. You can't say thats meaningfull, at that time the Jaguars had a great team and the Broncos were finding their identity post Elway.
What is meaningfull? The past 2 games, which the 2 teams have split.

It does help. I'll take all the help we can get. I hope someone fast is spying their QB. He is going to run for a lot of third downs.
